Easy to put together, for my 10 and 7 y.o. daughters, little lego mavens that they are. Would be good for a younger kid,too, as long as they were past the eat-the-legos age. I didn't get it as a challenge, rather as a fun thing since we were headed for a trip to DC. Its really very nice for the price and a great addition if your kids spends lots of time lost in alternate lego-reality like mine do.

Plus then they get to choose their own lego minifig to be president, but *she* has to ride on top of it, there's no inside. :)

The other reviews are right, this is not a quality toy. The blocks do not fit together well so the plane falls apart easily during play. It is a good thing it comes with stickers to help hold it together. I'm glad I didn't spend more and won't be buying this brand again.

Bought new in box from the airport while traveling, put together this evening. Two right wings, no left wing. The pilot's leg fell off in about 2 minutes of play. You get what you pay for, I guess.
