I have practiced chiropractic for 28 years and truly wished I had invented the Real Ease. I personally use the device and I have recommended it for practically all of my patients for the last 5 years. At first it may not feel "good" for the first few sessions, but that doesn't concern me. There are times that braces on teeth don't feel "good" either. The device is designed to help properly restore the normal curve in the neck. I wouldn't recommend using it for anymore than 10 -15 minutes a day. Even though illustrations on the box show it being used while sitting upright, like in an airline seat, as well as while reclining in bed, I feel the device is useful only while reclining on a firm surface (like the floor). I tell my patients to lay on the floor with their calves up in a chair and relax. It is a great way to spend time in prayer, or meditation or to just catch up on some sleep. But, be sure to set a timer for 10 to 15 minutes.

I finally figured out that my real problem in my neck and shoulders was TMJ! I am a grinder and this has been putting stress on my neck and shoulders. I had bought a shiatsu massager only to realize it wasn't solving the real problem. So I returned it and luckily found this on the web.

This simple little device really works. You feel relief in just minutes and after 10-15 minutes you can feel your neck and shoulder relaxing. I also find that my jaw relaxes as well. I use it every night before bed to loosen up my muscles. Well worth the price, and at this price, a steal!

Love it. It's always hard getting your head supported so you can relax your neck muscles. I hot glued a couple of golf balls to it, and now can put pressure right where you need it too. Worth the $ IMO.

I detest when snake oil salesmen prey on people who are in pain and desperately seeking help and remedies. That's what this piece of junk is about. From the photos, it looks as if there's some amazing stretching going on, but in truth, the whole thing is made wrong for that. The arch isn't even padded where it should be to coax my "military" neck into a healthy curve. I have neck injuries resulting in marathon migraines. I sometimes grasp at straws. I'm going to return this, even though I'll have to pay postage simply because I don't want it in my house, and I don't want this company to profit from me. It doesn't support as much as a rolled up pillow under the back of the neck, and it's unsteady.

I love ordering from Amazon.com, and I buy a lot from them, but the reviews are misleading because only the positive ones are deemed as "helpful". I guess we all want to be encouraged when we're shopping. I'm sorry I can't be encouraging about this one. The best things I've done for my neck and back have come from Amazon.com, and they include the Arc4life Cervical Linear Traction Neck Pillow, an inversion table, and the Spine-Worx Back Realignment Device.

I'm so glad I purchased this item! It may feel a little awkward at first and I have to admit that after using it several times I used it CORRECTLY after about 1 month of owning it. The reason for this is that I would position it too close to my neck, when it really had to support my occipital bone more (might vary depending on person). Once I adjusted its position I loved it even more! It releases all of the tension I feel in my neck, jaw, shoulders, and even my lower back. I also feel tension from the area around and behind my ear disappear!

I suffer from minor TMJ disorder/syndrome (temporomandibular joint: The hinge joint between the temporal bone and the lower jaw). There are numerous reasons why one might suffer from TMJD: heredity, injury, grinding or clenching teeth, poor posture and hydration, etc. Symptoms vary and include: limited opening of mouth, jaw clicking and popping, headaches, ear pain, dizziness. It is difficult to find treatment for TMJD since surgery should be your very LAST option (only in extreme cases) and most Dentists and/or specialists (such as Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons) shy away from treating such a complex area of our body; part of the reason for this is that TMJD treatment requires many post-operative visits and most dental/medical insurance plans do not pay for treatment. As a result, people go untreated and experience other health issues that are related to or a result of TMJD. Medical professionals such as MD's and Dentists lack the necessary knowledge and/or desire to educate and treat people.

At first, my condition improved once I stopped chewing gum and eating very chewy foods such as steak. But because I continued to clench jaw at night, my symptoms worsened.Read more ›

I was extremely skeptical because of the reviews stating it was cheap plastic and cheaply made. I did not purchase this item to relax for 10-1 minutes a day. I purchased it to attempt to sleep on my back. I needed something that would cradle my neck and not allow me to roll over on to my side. With one modification (adding an aluminum plate), it works perfect! I absolutely love this product. I would disagree that the product is cheaply made. I have no doubt that this will last me many years. I can't sleep without it now. It is very comfortable and does feel like you're floating. I've shown this product to all my friends and family that have neck issues or relaxing issues! I also showed my chiropractor and she tried it and loved it! Highly recommend as it has been a life saver for my neck and shoulder pain.
