I bought several tubs of this mixture to patch a big crack in our floor. It worked great! It filled the crack and had enough substance not to droop too badly. I just troweled it in and let it set. I will comment that you need to be careful to clean up any that gets on tile or other surfaces right away, it really bonds later. It shrinks back a little in the larger areas, but you can fill that on a second application and the stuff seems to bond well with the adjacent concrete. You can't get such a good repair just by mixing up a bunch of mortar. The mortar would be much cheaper per unit, but if you only have small amount to fill, you will wind up with a lot of waste. It even filled some really shallow places and bonded well, mortar would have just dried prematurely and flaked up. This hardened nicely.

I used this on the verticle surface of a step to fill a gap where the concrete had fallen away. It has the tedency to sag a little when fresh and takes awhile to set up so had to go back several times with the trowel to re-press it. When it dries it is as hard as steal and indestructible. This will not fall out. Dap certainly makes quality home repair products.

Purchased to fill a crack in the porch. A portion of the porch is sinking so purchased this to smooth out the crack and try to level for safety. The intent was to sand it smoother so there would be no accidents. Luckily it was easy to fill the crack pretty flush, since this is so strong, it really no way to sand it. It is pretty thick and not at all the consistency of say....dry wall patch. I recommends not to add water, which would make it easier to patch in a neater manner, but it will definitely get the job done.

Quick Background: Recently my house switched from well water to city water, and as a result I ditched a bunch of tanks in my utility closest on my porch. Along with those takes went a bunch of pipes and tubes that were no longer necessary. As a result I ended up with 2 holes in a cinderblock wall on the porch, one hole approximately 5'' wide in diameter, and roughly 6'' deep. The other hole about twice that size, however for the purposes of this review I will focus on the 5'' wide hole. Both holes led into my crawl space, and I saw a critter on my porch shortly after the pipes were removed and I decided I had to plug the holes. Initially, I was going to use the various expanding foam products on the market, but after reading extensive reviews both here on Amazon and other sites I felt that it was not the product for the job.

I came across this product after reading some about patching concrete and some methods used. The wall, as the subject of this review states, is vertical, and made of cinderblock. As such there are the usual cavity within the blocks, which I filled up with steel wool and then began using this product. Per the instructions it states that if your cavity is greater than 1/2'' to build it up in 1/4'' increments. I did not exactly follow that recommendation, and set a foundation nearly 1/2'' thick and found the initial usage took nearly 1.5 days to set. In my subsequent usages I followed the directions, and the concrete would set with 3-5 hours (my porch sees frequent use so doors in and out constantly opening so the temperature on it varies between 75-85 degrees F). The stated drying time is 3 hours, and it is fairly consistent with that. I was able to build up the hole and successfully fill it, and it looks amazing.Read more ›

This concrete patch is decent, but I've found epoxy works much better, and is less likely to crack. I used this in my garage, and applied the concrete patch over a crack in it, and let it sit for over a day. It was applied correctly, in a clean area - no dirt. Within the next few days, it cracked back open. I've used epoxy on other cracks and have not had this issue. Plus, concrete does not expand like epoxy does. This may have more resiliency inside, but it doesn't seem to take extreme temperatures well. This cracked during a 100 degree day.

I used this to patch a broken spot about 4 inches by a foot and up to an inch deep in a concrete driveway. It took a while to dry, but it matched pretty well, was easy to work with, cleaned up simply with water. I think it's great.

just wanted to say that this tub of cement worked like a charm for some small foundation cracks and around my front porch. It is tacky enough to stick and fill in vertical cracks with no need to be an expert. I used the entire contents to fill in my entire front porch and it looks like it did the job.

I'll probably order this again if I see more cracks.. And it really dries quickly and it seems very hard to the touch. Hopefully it will last..
