I purchased three of these covers for protecting my four year old son's pillows, in case of night time bed wetting accidents. I own the twin mattress version of this product but have not ever tested it by purposely wetting it to see if it truly is waterproof. Last night my son had a bed accident and when he woke up I could see that the pillowcase was wet. Surprisingly when I took the pillow protector off to launder it (for the first time - I've only had it for two weeks) the pillow itself was wet too. Perhaps this is a waterproof product when the wetness is left on for a short period of time, but it definitely isn't when the wetness is there for several hours. I'm pretty disappointed about this and will be contacting the manufacturer to see what they can do about their claims. I'll be updating here when I get more information.

Works like a charm when sleeping. Can't even tell it's there, our pillows are just as comfortable as before and protects from dust mites and allergies.

It's not water proof though... I blew it up with air and jumped in a pool with it hoping I would float, I didn't....

Seriously though our cats have peed on it when they're mad and it's never soaked through.

Five weeks later and there is still a strong chemical smell. Are these things ever going to air out? Other than that and a slight rustling noise they are OK.

Smell finally went away so it is upgraded to 4 stars. Took one star off for stinking in the first palce.

I have three of these pillow protectors by Protect-A-Bed as well as the mattress protector. It keeps liquids off of the pillow and mattress. I purchased this because our three year old son sleeps with us and sometimes he would pee the bed. I highly recommend this product because it has not failed us yet!

I purchased this to protect my son's pillow from overnight accidents that were soaking his pillow. I have loved our Protect-A-Bed mattress covers for over three years, and this pillow protector is just as wonderful. It does not trap air (no bubble effect), and it's not crunchy thanks to the terry-like material. Best of all, it protects the pillow from getting soaked.

These pillow protectors are a must for your bedroom. I have brand new pillows, and the protectors help against musty smells, and mold. In a years time, your pillows get sweat, debris, and bits of bug in them. Invest in the covers, and you'll have those expensive pillows for a few years longer! These also help with allergies, and pet dander!

PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK AND COMPANY DOES NOT STAND BY IT. I laundered my mattress cover according to the instructions and it was in very good shape (and fairly new) when my son wet the bed and woke me immediately. I took the sheets and cover off right away and the mattress was wet. The company inspected the cover and somehow found it to be “damaged in laundering” even though I looked over it with a fine tooth comb and it was fine. The company refused to clean the mattress and basically told me there was nothing they could do. They make a really poor quality product that doesn’t even stand up to a light bed wetting and then refuse to follow through on their promised warranty. Save yourself the trouble and a urine stained mattress and buy a different brand.

Works well and does not make noise when slept on. My husband and son leave greasy places on their pillowcases and then it transfers to the Temper pillows they own. Since using these on their new pillows they have remained completely clean and there is no greasy stain left on them. They let air through but keep the oil on the case itself. They wash well! I always dry in fresh air not drier.
