Electrical pick-ups on model trains get dirty and cause drag if not cleaned regularly and lubricated with a conductive oil. Electro-Lube was the defacto standard in years gone by and this is a modern equivalent. It has a perfect syringe type applicator but I dispense a small amount onto a plastic pad and use a pin to transfer to the area needing lube. It is well suited to the Bachmann split-chassis models which are rugged compared to flimsy copper strip contacts but do require lubrication since the wheels are carrying the weight of the loco. One bottle will last a long time and supplements the other lubricants offered by the same company.

I notice an improvment of pick up for my loco once I applied this to my locos on my layout. The pin point needle is a plus too because we all known how tight lubricating spots are on model trains. The only problem I noticed is that it is very runny and tends to leak over the track. Not excessively but enough to notice it being there

Bachmann is a highly reliable name. The reason I give it 1 star is based on the fact that the pic show a needle type dispenser whereas, it is actually a wider plastic tube that is to big to lubricate track wheels. You can't tell if your getting oil to the bearings where it is needed. Much of the oil runs down around the wheel. The point being, you can't tell if you lubricated parts that are very needed. Come back with the needle dispenser and I change my rating to a 5. Note also, the pic showing the bottle shows a needle style and not the wider plastic tube. If you don't need a needle type dispenser then it will work fine.
