These connectors are well made, but for around the same price I prefer the Leviton products for their cord restraint. All are easy to wire, especially after bending each wire into a slight hook and tinning first.

Mechanism:
Pass & Seymour or Cooper products: The body containing the blades/sockets slides into the front of an outer shell. A very short screw attaches the shell to the body to keep the body from pulling out. Because of this design the cord must pass freely through the back of the shell, so there is no cord restraint.

The Leviton products open like a three piece clamshell; the body is in the center with the two halves of the shell hinged on either side. A long screw binds the two halves of the shell together and clamps the shell’s molded cord restraint onto the cord. The “hinges” are simply thinner sections of the plastic; if they were repeatedly flexed they would likely fail, but in normal use they are only opened and closed once for wiring. The Leviton can be a little tricky to wire, as the wires must avoid the central plastic post that accepts the screw. Also, a large or stiff cord can make it difficult to close the shell completely without a squeeze from some cushioned pliers.

Polarization is the same for all three brands:
Males are not, as they only insert in one orientation due to the grounding pin.
Females are, as they can also accept non-grounding polarized plugs.

They could add another screw at the bottom to better secure the plug to its housing. I've used it to replace a bad laptop plug which is molded, so this one, being as compact as I could find, is perfect (well almost)
