Was looking for a easy to fill suet feeder that would hold more than one regular suet cake. This year my suet feeder was hard to get to and it would have been nice to be able to fill it once for a longer time. This is easy to fill as the top lifts off and falls back so you have access to the whole feeder. It held three regular cakes which is great. I do not think the squirrels will be able to get to the suet but if they do I will update my review.

We bought a case of 12 suet cakes and this feeder, and we put 4 cakes in at once. The birds use it and it's holding up well. The other day we peeked out and there were about ten birds clinging to all the sides of the cage that we could see! I recommend. Easy to open and fill.

The plus is that it holds 4 regular cakes of suet. The bad part is that it is designed to be hung by chains only. My handy husband adapted this to sit on threaded rods which extend through the roof and are held on by a washer and wing nuts. The other end of the rod has been drilled into a piece of wood which sits on a pole. The reason I bought this is because it does hold so much suet. There are a lot of other suet holders out there, but they are designed to take a specialty size of suet. This one holds the regular 4x4 inch pieces.

Being able to put multiple suet blocks in this feeder is wonderful. Saves time but I don't see this lasting any longer than all the other wire feeders. On the top of the metal roof, there are cracks on all 4 corners. I can see this rusting in a short period of time. Too bad since I think they had a great idea. There needed to be more time spent on the production of this feeder making it more heavy duty.

This the birds' favorite feeder out of five. I have seen up to four birds on it at a time. Red-bellies, hairies, downies, chickadees and nuthatches all stop by. I like it because it holds several cakes so less time spent filling.

Very well made, looks nice holds a lot of suet ( four cakes). I just got hung up last night so I don't know how well the birds are like it. So far no birds has shown any interest in it. I would be glad to recommend this suet feeder to anybody unless you want to put out less suet at one time.
