It's a little stiff to work with but so far appears to keep my water pipes from freezing. I strung a heat tape inside and then wrapped the pipe. It has been down into the 20's and so far no problem. And I didn't have to travel to the store to get it thanks to Amazon

Awesome stuff! Much better than yellow insulation wrap with flimsy plastic. This stuff is great, and the tape to go with it is VERY VERY sticky! Awesome!!!! Cannot brag enough. I'll update after the first freeze. We used this on 40' of pex pipe under a cabin. Much easier installation than the yellow MD Products Insulation.

I needed something to wrap the hose going out window on my portable air conditioner in my 2nd floor bedroom (above garage and below attic so gets way too warm). I'm so please I wrapped that hose - I had no idea what a huge difference it would make. Now I can't feel the heat from that hose leaking into room. If your hose isn't straight, which mine is not, it takes a little finesse wrapping and making sure every part of hose is encased. But it can be done and it's worth it. It helped me (I'm a girl and not handy so others may have better advice) to cut in smaller lengths and tape - don't try and do in one long run. Anyway, the shorter pieces helped me get closest to the hose and work my way around the couple curves in hose. I also bought the wider version of this but I found this narrower (4" wide) was easier to wrap around those small angled curves.
Previous summers I didn't have this insulation but this summer with this installed, I've noticed big difference that room cools more quickly, compressor doesn't run as often, and no heat loss from that hose.

I'll have to find some other applications for this stuff. What to wrap next? :-)

Most people that purchase a portable air conditioner don't insulate the hose leading to the window port. Big mistake. This pipe wrap was perfect for the job and all the heat went out the window, instead of back into the room Easy to apply and this product would work in any application where a self adhesive, insulated pipe wrap was called for. This wrap helped save us from one of the hottest Summers on record.

I thought it was a tape with glue on one side, but it has no glue. It was kind of hard to work with. It was difficult to get it to stay in place while it was taped to hold it. Seems to work well, even though I couldn't get it as tight as I would have liked.
