This stuff seems to work OK. Here's an invaluable caulking tip when working with silicone that I learned elsewhere. Run the bead, then spray some ammonia-free aerosol glass cleaner (I recommend Sprayway which is available at many big-box stores) over the bead. You don't need to drench it, just get a light mist on all of it. With paper towels ready, run your finger along the caulk to seat it. Pause every 6-12 inches to wipe excess caulk that gets on your finger on the paper towel. The caulk comes right off your finger thanks to the Sprayway, there is no sticky mess, and the result is that even rank amateurs (like me) end up with a professional-looking job at the end.

This caulk worked perfectly to caulk the tub/shower combo in my apartment. I first tried the DAP bathroom caulk and was very disappointed when it peeled away within a few days. I am not a professional by any means, but I was able to apply this product pretty easily using my finger and some rubbing alcohol to smooth away the excess. It seemed dry to the touch after a few hours, but we waited the full 24 hours before showering to be safe. I was very skeptical after my first caulking disaster, but this caulk has held up perfectly after a couple months. I am so happy to have a nice looking shower again and relieved that this caulk actually worked!

After reading other reviews, it seems many people had problems with this caulk when it was close to its expiration date. Apparently silicon is a bit finicky, so I would recommend checking the date first. I had no problem since mine had over a year before expiring.

This was exactly what I was looking for. Needed to repair a place in my shower where the caulk had come off. This tube is clear and I also bought a tube of white caulk by the same maker. It went on very smoothly, I was able to use my finger to make it look like it had been done by a professional using a caulking gun. It dried in 30 minutes. I left it for 24 hours before using the shower. The shower looks new, and the seal is perfect.

While this is quality chalk for your bathroom or kitchen. This 2.8 ounce tube is a small one; maybe enough for two bath tubs. If you are used to buying tube of caulk at a walk-in retail store, and you are not paying attention (like me) you may be surprised by the smack size of the tube when it arrives.

Color not as advertised. Is listed as almond, however mine arrived in clear .Can't speak as to it's longevity since I never used it due to the incorrect color and as far as I can tell it is not paintable, so is useless to me

Love this stuff - it was the easiest caulk I have ever applied and it looks great. Since I am an average homeowner and not a professional "caulker", there may be better product using a caulk gun but I always make a mess with those and then they dry out. I have used this several times over the last year and it is still good. If you'r doing a whole house, this probably isn't the right caulk to use but is you just want something easy to use around a tub or counter or even baseboard ... it worked great for me.
I agree with the other review about it being glossy but that worked perfect for me.

This might be a good sealant if you use it before its time-stamp. I would say its shelf life sucks; when I tried to use it several months after I bought it, it had coagulated into a lumpy, useless mess. Silicone sealants I've used in the past had shelf lives of at least a year--I'm still using a tube of Permatex Ultra Blue automotive sealant after more than 5 years! Of course you have to remove a hardened plug with an exacto knife each time.
