I got tired of wrestling with my computer desk every-time I needed to pull it out. I was concerned this might raise it up too much. But, not so. On carpeting it's less than 2" higher. I also sent the seller a message to be sure this was a U bracket caster and they responded immediately. My suggestion for installation is to be sire the hole lines up with both holes in bracket. You can make the hole a little bigger than the screw to be sure it will fit well. The bracket tightens up very well.

We needed to put a small chest of drawers on casters to be able to roll it in and out of our closet. These were the only items that would work on the chest due to it's construction. The casters work; wish they were a little more sturdy.
