ive always used crosman pellets, these are no acception to crosmans' quality... these are an everything use pellet, its good for plinking, hunting, anything you what them to do, they penetrate very far into whatever your shooting at, (tough pests, targets) but does not make a huge hole, it penetrates deep but lacks slightly when it comes to damage because of the fact it doesnt expand very much compared to the crosman destroyers. but penatrates farther than the crosman destroyers...

Bottom line...
if you need an all-around pellet with many uses with very good accuracy, (consistancy) get these pellets,
if you are going to do mostly hunting, spend your money on crosman desroyers, which do more damage to animals
these ARE very nice pellets for what they are made for, dont get me wrong, and will take down any pest you need down, but if you feel the need for extra damage and your doing only hunting, the crosman destroyers might be a better alternative...

In 1967 I received my first pellet gun. It was pump crosman 140. I also recieved two boxes of crosman pellets and even though alot of years have passed the gun is still going strong. Crosman's pellets are the same high quality as they were then. Even though I own other airguns, I still choose crosman for my everyday pellets. These field hunting pellets have excellent penatration and uniformity so you get very consistent results. I'm able to maintain a 1/4-1/2" grouping at about 150 feet. Each pellet fits perfectly and has a finsihed look like someone polished them!

When originally getting these pellets I was hesitant because of their cheap price compared to other types of Crosman and even other companies' pellets.

To my surprise they are awesome! Highly recommended.

Very good shape, and good construction. They fly straight and flat.

If I had to choose a single type of pellet from all manufacturers and types to use from this day on this would be it and here's why. For starters there are by far some of the cheapest pellets. Those pellets have an amazing accuracy and consistency. I can easily hit beer cans at 60 yards all day, consistently. It can be stretched even more depending on conditions. Just as an example though, it usually takes me 3-4 pellets, but I'm able to hit and break a straw in half from 40 yards. To me that's superb accuracy. They are also very well manufactured, with no bad ones in the box. There was some dust left in the "milk carton", if anyone is wondering, but not much and nothing significant to talk about. No squashed or deformed pellets. The shape is amazing too. While it is a pointed pellet, it's not as pointed as other pointed pellets and it's more of a domed looking pellet with a slight tip in the middle. It may not hit as hard as a hollow point, or a flathead, or maybe even slightly less impact then a rounded counterpart but it's better over all. It flies fast and straight, while having some flattening effect similar to a rounded pellet. The reason why I like it more is because I value accuracy more then a hard hit. If I can place my shot where I want it, it doesn't have to mushroom the size of a basketball for it to work.

Just and FYI. I have tried a variety of other pellets such as other types of Crosman (also very good), Daisy (very nice pellets), GAMO (all varieties are possibly worst pellets I've tried), JSB (good quality), etc.

Accuracy, with good performance at a low cost. One of the best pellets for a low price. Highly recommended.

I have used Crosman guns, and love Crosman ammo because it's a great value for excellent pellets.

These are your simplest pellets. They are accurate, uniform, and penetrate very well. Unlike some cheap pellets, there are not many deformed pellets in the tins. Also, they all shoot incredibly consistent, and in 1000s of pellets the only crazy pellet was one I accidentally loaded wrong. even then, it wasn't too bad.

I have killed many birds with these out of a Crosman Phantom, and a Crosman 760. They're good pellets, and I'd recommend you pick some up.

I've ordered a couple of milk carton containers of these pellets and tried them in some of my air guns. First, they are usually a very good buy here at Amazon. But sometimes the price goes way high. Then, I'll wait for it to go down again. Second, I am not finding any damaged or deformed pellets yet. Third, in some of my air guns (example Daisy Powerline Model 35) I have tried and tried, but they will not consistently group well. Oh, I can get occasional fantastic groups, but then there will be uncalled fliers.
My most accurate air rifle is my Crosman Custom Shop 2400 CO2 carbine with 15" barrel. This gun gives me the highest percentage of tiny one hole groups. And it LOVES these Field Hunter pellets. I recently had to take out 2 wild roosters on my property. They are very hard to kill even with a .22 Long Rifle. I needed precise shot placement, so I went with the 2400 carbine. I tried a penetration test with these pellets and that gun into a small piece of 1x2 wood. It sunk the pellet about 3/8" into that solid wood and embedded it there. I sighted it in at 12 yards and kept getting group after group measuring 0.0" center to center, or very close to it. You can't get a group better than that. This combination worked well on both roosters. The second one ran maybe 15 yards and collapsed. I could not catch and release these roosters somewhere else as they were too darn wary of me. My neighbors butchered both and ate them. They lived on my property for over a year totally free ranging, so had good rooster lives. But they kept trying to draw my hens off my property.
Anyway, these pellets, in that gun, were a great combination. Match accuracy and good power.
