The Husky is the forward facing youth seat with LATCH that fits children from 22 to 80 pounds. LATCH stands for Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children. The LATCH System will greatly simplify child safety seat installation and will help protect children by keeping seats more secure in vehicles. The Husky?s patented "Floating" HUGS System is designed to better distribute webbing loads to reduce head movement and minimize the chance for webbing edge loading on the child?s neck in the case of an impact. In addition, it is designed to reduce the chance of improper positioning of the chest clip.
Adjustable shoulder heights and the easy-to-position Chest Clip provide a more secure fit as the child grows. The Five-Point Harness, a must for your child?s security and your convenience, has adjustable shoulder heights for a secure fit as your child grows. Four Different Shoulder Harness positions will accommodate the taller child. Each slot will help provide the safest and most comfortable fit as your child grows.
The comfort foam, on the Husky, extends from top to bottom on the restraint, to provide additional comfort and impact protection for your child. Patented Versa-Tether" anchors the top of the child seat to the vehicle, reducing movement of seat and child. Safety belt, tether and harness work together to limit the child?s forward excursion in an impact. EZ Adjust Harness Mechanism features a yoke for quicker, easier harness height adjustments. One Pull Harness Strap Adjuster makes it easy to get the secure fit every child needs for protection.
Use vehicle seat belt (not LATCH connectors) for installations with children weighing more than 48 pounds (21 kg.). Refer to the vehicle?s owner?s manual for the maximum weight rating for their LATCH anchors. Unless specified otherwise by the vehicle manufacturer, assume a 48 pound child is the vehicle LATCH anchor limit.
