    I spent a week in the BWCA canoeing and hiking. At first I was not impressed with the fit, but they seemed good enough to take. I slipped them on over my old tennis shoes, and off I went. after an hour all I could think was WOW if these last the entire trip like this they were well worth the $. and they did. I am sure I will get much more use of them. I was able to hike the 20 miles we did carrying 80 pounds of gear over rockey terrain. These held up to ALOT of abuse. They gripped when i needed, and fit like a dream because they were over my shoes. They were light weight and DURABLE. There where times when I snagged on stuff and watched them stretch, just waiting for the tear and for me to bust my face on the rocks. To my astonishment they did not tear or ever show signs of damage. These are well worth every penny I spent from just in that week alone.

    I had some Totes boots, for wearing over shoes when riding my motorcycle in the rain. They gave out and I ordered these since the Totes boots are no longer made. These are heavier duty than the totes, and I expect them to last me a long time. I saw in some reviews that they run small, so I got XXL for my size 9 leather walking shoes. (The heels were hard on the totes).
    These boots are probably a size too big, but since I won't be walking much in them -- just wearing them to keep dry when riding in the rain, they will be fine. They will take up more room in my backpack than the totes, being heavier rubber.

    Tingley Men's 17" Knee Boot Stretch Overshoe, by Tingley.
    These rubber overshoes are great, but they need to add larger sizes and more rubber buttons along the top edge. The Large size is good for up to a size 10 shoe, and the X-Large is good for up to a size 11 shoe. A size 12 shoe in an X-Large overshoe is a tight fit, stretching the rubber a bit. Why Tingley does not make 17" rubber overshoes in XX or XXX sizes is a good question. Anyway, I gave away two pairs of my 17" Large size overshoes after some winter shoe closet cleaning, because over the years, my shoe size has gone from a size 10W to a size 11½XW-12XW. With all the snow that we have been getting lately, I find that my 10" X-Large overshoes are not tall enough to allow me to tuck in my pants cuffs and keep them dry. I will put in an order for the 17" rubber overshoes in the X-Large size, and squeeze in my size 12 shoes as best I can. Anyway, I find the Tingley overshoes are very helpful in keeping my feet dry, but with large calves, I cannot use the rubber button to close them, -I have to use a thick rubber band to keep them closed. These boots help to provide winter traction, without being overly wide like the yellow work overshoes, and causing you to press your car gas pedal as well, when all you really wanted to do was to press the brake pedal. (Thanks to the overly helpful folks who converted our cars to heel-and-toe operation of the brake and gas pedals. This is not a problem on older cars, where the brake pedal and the gas pedal were further apart, and you had to lift your whole right foot off the gas and then step on the brake pedal. Nowadays, if your brakes are a bit soft, your foot can easily press both pedals at the same time.    Read more ›

    See above. These boots go on easily enough but are impossible to get off without the shoes coming off too. We purcahsed size according to directions, but you need to suggest larger.

    Better than expected excellent quality boot! I ordered the men's 17", 11-12.5 size. I inserted my NB sneakers size 11 and very wide 6E width. The rubber stretched easily to fit the width and length of my shoe perfectly. The extra wide top allowed me to adjust the tongue and tuck the laces after putting the boot on. Very speedy shipment on PRIME that just beat the expected snow storm. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.
