I purchased this yarn before Christmas, I stashed it away to make something for myself after everything calmed down and I was finished crocheting for everyone else. I wasted no time getting this yarn out, I'm making a simple scarf using double crochet stitches, it is some of the softest acrylic yarn I have ever worked with, I love the feel, I love the drape, I love the sheen and I love the color.

If I had any complaint at all it would be that I wish Red Heart made this in a bigger skein, they only come in the smaller skeins, but I really can't complain, it's a bargain price so it's not a problem to buy up more skeins, especially since they don't have dye lots.

This color really does look like jewel tones, it had a stained glass look, the next thing I'll do with this is a mosaic style using black yarn along with this yarn, that really will look like stained glass (for those who work with stained glass, I know that it's properly referred to as "stain glass", but most people know it as stainED glass).

This yarn is such a pleasure to work with, I can't wait to try out some of the other colors, I will be buying this (and other colors) again.

I crochet newborn hats to donate to local hospitals and this yarn made very soft hats. The weight of the yarn is perfect for the hospital because it is warm enough for the little one's heads without being bulky or thick. Works out to be an amazing color too!

The yarn had no snags, knots, or frays in the 2 balls that I purchased.

This yarn is wonderful and soft. I love it.

But -- just a note to other buyers -- the variegated skeins are 52 yards less than the solids. I just received my "Garden" and that's how I found out.

Other than that it's absolutely wonderful.

So I decided to try and order 14 skeins of yarn of 'Red Heart Soft Yarn'. 7 in one color, and 7 in another color. My main reason for possibly getting it thru Amazon is because the going price at the time was about a $1 cheaper per skein then anywhere else.... and that includes Hobby Lobby and Joann Fabrics. Problem is after putting around $35 worth of yarn in my cart, it totaled to around $105! That's $69 dollars to ship YARN. And the seller it was coming from was SuperMart.
Now, if I order this direct from Joann Fabrics online..... the same yarn, and same amounts, cost only $7.95 to ship to me for standard shipping. And the grand total is only $56.81 even with paying more per skein. Regular prices. No sales. Moral of the story is...... Don't be fooled by lower skein price. I'm going to take the time and go to Joann's to get this.

Good yarn. Good deal for the price. I got this in Really Red and started learning crochet on this. I don't know if it's because I'm a noob, or if it's my hooks, but my hook would often split the yarn. And this was not one long piece. I found a knot or two as I made my granny squares.
