I received my pot as a gift and have a love hate relationship with this pot.

I love how it looks and I have had a few good pots of coffee, but, for the most part, its been a struggle and more times than not I am dissapointed with the resultant brew.

I have had a lot of trouble getting a full pot to brew, and I am also sturuggling with grounds in the bottom chamber as well as my brewed coffee. I have tried a multitude of things some helping and others not. I found that if I use coffee ground for an auto-drip, I get far less (or none) grounds. However, I love the taste of Lavazza Crema Gusto or Illy Moka, both of which SHOULD, in theory, work in this Moka pot - but both of them end up giving me the grounds in the bottom chamber and my coffe.

In addition, I've had a heck of a time getting a full pot of coffee - its consistantly coming up short - and often tastes burnt or is sometimes so bitter its undrinkable.

I decided to order (Espresso Zone) a new funnel since the one that came with my pot had a slight defect in the stem. When my new funnel arrived, I noticed the stem was slightly longer than the one that came with my pot. I've only brewed one pot with the new funnel ,but, I have had better sucess. I was able to brew a full pot, no burnt, bitter taste, and there were significantly less grounds in the bottom chamber and in my coffee cup.

I believe my pot came with a defective funnel - but I have the feeling its still going to be a bit of a struggle to get the good coffee I'm looking for with this pot.

Maybe I should have bought the aluminum one?

This little coffee pot is attractive, very sturdy and will last for years. It makes great espresso, is fast and so easy to use. It works perfectly on induction as well as a regular burner. This size makes about 6 oz. of coffee at a time so it's perfect for 1 or 2 people.

If you are looking for a jolt of espresso in the morning this will do the job. I was giving it as a gift and had it engraved. It was well appreciated for the added sentiment and will be remembered because it sits on the stove all the time. It was a winner as a gift. The only thing you need to buy with it is a camping iron grate. It is small so it will tip over on a regular stove grate. So go to a sporting goods store and get a $9 camping stove grate with small holes to leave over your gas stove grate.

received the Vespress packaged in a crappy little box that the company smashed it into luckily it wasn't damaged , water spots on the outside made me think it might have been used , but after close examination all seemed to be NEW. Even so I would not buy from Cloud Nine again.

The quality looks great but for $65 i would have hoped for a handle that was straight in line with the pour spout, mine is off angle....thought it doesn't affect the operation....what does affect it is the week blow off valve on the side of the unit...if i fill the chamber with Espresso grind coffee the pressure builds enough to blow the valve relieving pressure...which stops the coffee from coming up the spout , so i have to take it off the heat for a few seconds and put it back on....this only happens with Espresso grind not with regular

happy enough with it and it does look good....plus i feel i am healthier without an Aluminuim one

This coffee maker is perfect. It makes a very nice concentrated coffee/ espresso. I used it every day for quite a long time, without any problems. The handle, lid and seal are all solid. It is very easy to use and convenient.
It made such strong coffee, it extracted the oils and all the delicious yet stomach irritating properties of the coffee so well, I had to go back to a filter brewer! But, I still use it now and then when I am wanting an espresso drink.

I would like to give this a better review. It does make good coffee. However, I can only award 2 stars to this coffee maker because every time I take it apart to rinse out and clean, the top of the filter basket has stuck to the rubber basket. I can only get it off with great difficulty, pulling out the rubber gasket, which is very difficult to put back in position. You can do better.
