Seems to be of good quality. Time will tell. Comes with the metal gasket which is the one you want. Took me about 30 minutes of scraping to get the original gasket clean off the engine block. Use a razor scraper and maybe some fine sandpaper and make sure your surface is totally clean before installing the new metal gasket. The engine as guide dowels to hold the gasket in place while you set the pump so you don't have to silicone the gasket to anything. Once the gasket surface was clean the pump installed easy. A tip if you are installing this on a 3.8L series II engine.. Take the two bolts loose from the power steering pump to gain access to one of the water pump bolts. Google the torque specs on this water pump if you don't know them. I would not recommend attempting this without a torque wrench and using the proper bolt tightening pattern to assure against gasket failure.
