LOVE IT BY LOOKS, THIS IS THE FIRST ONE ON ITS WAY BACK. NOT BECAUSE OF IT BUT BECAUSE OF A PROJECTILE PENITRATED THE SIDE OF CARDBOARD BOX INTO RADIATOR KNOCKING A HOLE IN IT. LOOKS FIT SIZE ALL LOOKED GREAT WILL WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE TO SEE HOW THEY WORK. IT IS HALF AGAIN AS BIG AS FACTORY BUT DOES FIT THE FACTORY MOUNTING TABS PERFECTLY AND THE SHROUD

1995 Chevy K1500 ext. cab 5.7 164k

Installed Spectra Premium CU624 heavy duty (HD) radiator a few hundred miles ago. It fit perfectly in the truck with NO alterations. I was nicely surprised to see this Spectra CU624 has double rows of cooling passages instead of the single passage row Harrison radiator that was originally in the GM truck. So this Spectra Premium CU624 was definitely HD, a plus to help keep my truck engine cooler for when I plan to tow this summer.

This Amazon price was about $50-60 less then the local NAPA store that also sells Spectra. Good deal.

First off the radiator came very quickly but I think it should have been double boxed cause the foam
was damaged, Radiator was not.
It has the look of quality, not the cheap look came with adapter fittings for the oil lines so it
will fit even if GM decided to change size. We didn't need these but they are in the tool box
in case I ever need them on another job. It fit perfectly.
The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because the top neck does not have a raised
lip on the end and the hose didn't fit quite like it could have. Maybe someone installed
the wrong hose too. Good product , Only time will tell of the real quality
Overall , very happy so far.

Installed into my 1999 Suburban K1500 with the 5.7L engine.

The install was very straightforward. I had to use the brass adapters on the TOC side, but couldn't use them on the EOC side. The radiator and coolers have been leak free except for the cheapo rubber plug that installs two holes down from the radiator cap. The rubber plug was swelling up like a balloon and would piss out some coolant when the system was under pressure. I removed it and replaced with the heavier duty rubber plug on my old radiator.

Also, this radiator has an "thermal expansion groove" cut into the frame of the radiator at the same spot where my old radiator failed. So I am hoping that this one will last a long time.

I've got about 750 miles on it since I put it in. Radiator fit well and all fittings went well with no problems. I'm used to the old school brass and copper radiators so aluminum and plastic are a little scary for me, not to say they will not perform well in the long haul but that's a wait and see. I did read one review where a person complained that the plastic tank separated from the core but I noticed they put some stress relief expansion cuts in the one I received. So far so good. Oh yea be sure to flush your system using the old radiator before you install the new one, duh!

I was very frustrated when a hole was punched through my radiator in my suburban from debris thrown up from the roadway. I limped home with only minutes to spare before the whole engine went.
