This item works however, it did not want to open on the initial engine warm up. It seems to now have the slightly normal "temp spike" before it opens, but I was not impressed with how hot the engine became on the initial run. If you purchase this, monitor engine temperature closely on the first start up. You may have to increase engine rpm to persuade it to open. That's what I ended up doing.

I had to install a180 degree T-stat a while back because they were out of stock of the 195F when I had my timing chain replaced on my F150. I always regretted having done that. One of these days I'm gonna replaced it.
