This round bolster is so sturdy and versatile. I've had mine for years and use it nearly every day. Primarily I use it as a prop under my knees to relax or do restorative yoga. Sometimes I roll on my side and use it to prop an arm and/or leg. I don't know why the product description says it's good for seated asana; maybe someone can add a comment to explain that.

It's good that it has a strap, and that strap is not going to come off! The cover is washable too, but don't put it in the dryer.

I've given these to expectant mothers and always receive an enthusiastic thank you. They help the mommies-to-be get comfortable.

This is too thick for pranayama. If you want a bolster for that, get the standard one. But I do recommend this product wholeheartedly.

I have ordered several of the Hugger Mugger props in the plum color: pillow, bolster, u-shaped pillow, and zafu. All are made exceptionally well with great craftsmanship. All seem to hold out well. Well worth the monetary investment. Highly recommend.

I am a serious student of Iyengar yoga, have completed a 2 year Iyengar teachers training program, and recently passed my first level of assessment. I am qualified to judge a good bolster. I was very disappointed with this bolster. It feels more like a sofa bolster, than a serious yoga prop. It feels like it is made from foam rather than hard packed cotton filling. I have left it permanently at a location I teach at and I watch the students take every bolster but that one; it is always chosen as the last pick. I do not recommend purchasing it.

This seems like a good sturdy product, but a warning for those who don't like to dry clean - the cover is very very tight. After getting the bolster, I washed the cover in cold water and hung it to dry and then couldn't get it re-zipped after putting the bolster back in. The customer service person I spoke to told me I should dry clean it - but it's cotton and should be washable, and I don't dry clean anything (chemicals, expensive, etc). The second person I spoke to told me I should be able to get it in and that it can take 3 people to stuff it in and zip it up. Eventually, I finally got the whole thing re-stuffed into the cover and zipped but it was really hard to do. Hopefully the zipper is rugged, since I like to keep things that are on the floor etc clean, not just spot cleaned. Maybe they should make the cover just a tiny tiny bit bigger.

For yoga and raising knees to relax at home, this bolster was not
comfortable. Too firm, too heavy and covered with irritating rough
material (that picks up lint too easily); bolsters in my yoga classes
are almost as firm but feel nicer with heavy-duty but smoother
covers.

dimensions of the bolster is standard and with a little breaking in works fine fabric is tough and sturdy and will hold up well the zipper seems sturdy enough and is not bulky to cause problems in use should think carefully about taking out the inside pack as may be difficult to get back in
