This product preforms as advertised and is easy to install. Received item in 2 days with standard shipping. After installing the cooler it became apparent that part of the wiring harness was missing. I notified Amazon and their response exceeded my expectations. Rather than require me to remove the unit I had already installed they overnighted a compete replacement unit and issued a call tag to return the parts I didn't need. After this experience I will purchase from Amazon even if their price is a little higher. I don't mind paying extra for great service.

Fan/cooler is a stout, high quality unit. Unfortunately, it is a lot bigger than the dimensions listed on Amazon or B&M's site .
They indicate 10" wide X 7-1/2" high, it actually measures 10" X 9-1/4". The cooler itself measures 7" high, without the inlet/outlet, mounting brackets or temperature sensor. The temp sensor's plug and wire adds another 1/4"-1/2", depending on how tightly you want to bend the wire. That makes it 2"+ higher than advertised.
Too bad it is so much taller, it will not fit my application. Looking into this a little deeper, I can build a fan and cooler, that will actually fit, using off the shelf parts, for less money.

I use two of these together in series. They do a good job in that configuration. I use a 4.0 liter engine bored and stroked to 4.9 liter. It puts out a lot of power and a lot of heat. The automatic fan turn on at 170 degrees (oil temp) did not work. However I installed a manual turn on switch which works fine. I have Elite Auto-helm gauges that turn vivid red when the temp rises. Driving down the Freeway without fans on it stays about 160 oil temp. Off road rock crawling in hot weather oil temps can rise to near 250 degrees but the temperature drops very fast as soon as the load on the engine lessons. Rock Crawling with 37 inch tires in hot weather on very steep ground produces high temps so a lot of cooling is required.

Installed this on a 2007 Chevy 1500 to help the trans out when the camper hooked up.Last year with out it the trans ran around 200F this year 160F to 170F.Much bigger than the sock cooler but very easy to install just make a couple of brackets and wire it in 2 hour it was installed.Very happy with it so far

Used it for a transmission cooler on my 06 Vette. It keeps the trans 20 degrees cooler than my coolant now, at about 160-180 degrees. Used to be 20 degrees hotter at most times, well over 200. I bypassed the thermal switch because it would allow the temps to get too hot before kicking on allowing the temps to spike.

Very well built unit. This is cheap insurance to keep your transmission cool, I like the unit but I wish they would have supplied rubber grommets for the mounts, B&M Dropped the ball by not supplying grommets for a straight out of the box install. .
