The mirror arrived, in original packaging and nicely packed by Amazon, but as others have pointed out, the mirror is all scraped and scratched in the middle, probably due to moving around during shipping. This make it an unusable 1-star item in my opinion. I suffered for too many years with scratched glasses to ever willingly look into something with that kind of damage. :-) It's too bad, too, because otherwise it's a great mirror: black offset frame that rotates around the backing plate so change the view, and the backing plate has a nice piece of adhesive on it.
I just tried to clean it with a cotton ball and some rubbing alcohol (I thought maybe the mess on the lens was some sticky stuff from the manufacturing process), and not only didn't it clear up the problem, but the *cotton ball* left scratches on the lens, which I assume is plastic. I bought this to use as a cubicle "don't sneak up on me" system, and I can't imagine how this would ever survive the rigors of outdoor use on a vehicle.

I was disappointed to see the actual size of this mirror in person, despite knowing the actual diameter. The term "adjustable" is a bit of a misnomer. The mirror is mounted in a plastic frame with a slight angle. The mounting is with included double sided adhesive tape. Thus the "adjustment" only means you can choose which direction best suits your viewing angle... once. I suppose if you just want to pop it on your sideview mirror and forget it, this is perfect for you. I was hoping it would be adjustable and RE-adjustable. I did not try to mount this to anything so I cannot comment on the adhesive. But, there are a lot of reviewers who say it melts and falls off very easily with a sticky mess. Mine did not arrive scratched though many others claim theirs did. On the plus side, it was so cheap that I am not even inclined to return it.

The original packaging for this mirror is too big and they didn't bother protecting the mirror's surface. So when it arrived although the package was still sealed the front of the mirror was scratched to the point of being useless, probably just from the mirror rolling around inside the packaging. Even though it only cost about $5 I'm still going to send it back and demand a refund.

Guys, spend an extra penny or two and put some plastic film over the mirror or something to protect it, will ya?

I'll start out by noting the biggest negative, which other people have noted: the poor packaging resulted in some scratching on the mirror that could not be cleaned off (basically, the packaging didn't curve enough around the convex mirror and rubbed the center of it during transport or storage).

Having said that, it's not a bad product. The scratching doesn't impede your ability to see the reflection. It seems to be sticking well to my side view mirror. And it serves its purpose: improving my view of my blind spot. The size (2 inches) was perfect. Any bigger and it would have impeded my ability to see through the rest of the side view mirror. Also, I noticed that at least one reviewer questioned why the mirror is described as being able to be rotated 360 degrees, because it can only be rotated in a circle. Well, I now know the reason for that is because the mirror holder is actually fatter on one side than the other, so when you rotate it, it does actually change your viewing angle, making it somewhat adjustable based on your personal likes and needs.

In other words, it does what it says on the tin.

Update: The scratching does impede efficient use of the mirror more at night than during the day. Hence I dropped my review to three stars.

This product is exactly what I was looking for. I work in a cubicle and don't like people being able to sneak up from behind. It's not that I have anything to hide, it's just a matter of not liking to be taken off guard or startled. I've velcroed this mirror to my cubicle wall and it works great! It is angled just perfectly for my needs, isn't too small, nor is it overly large to be an eye-sore. It certainly isn't anything fancy, but considering what I am using it for I didn't need anything fancy. I don't know if I would trust this to hold up in external weather conditions but for my purposes it works great!
