The adjustable trans arm is the best part of the kit. The linkage from the column to the arm is pretty decent. I'd have like to have seen a turnbuckle style adjustment instead of a trim-to-fit with cutting & grinding required but then, there's no way for Lokar to know how long you need the turnbuckle to be.
Anyway, for all but the very gnarliest control angles this kit is nice.
Hmm. Good advice would be to measure your angles between column and transmission. If a heim joint, which maxes out around 20 degrees without special spacers, won't make it - buy the cable shifter instead. That's what I should have done in retrospect.

ordered for an LS swap into my 86 Chevy c10 due to the factory shifter linkage hitting my schoenfeld headers not allowing to shift into first gear also the O2 sensor bung was in the way of the factory shifter. this new lokar shifter linkage fixed both of my issues in no time. was very easy to install. contrary to the other review i read the final adjustment wasn't difficult or time consuming at all. as soon as my buddies saw this thing installed they both ordered them for the same application

Nice workmanship. Doesn't fit my 1970 Chevy C10 pickup with TurboHydro 350. Not pleased! Apparently Lokar has a 26" rod version. Would have been nice to know. The 21" rod is 3-4" short. Amazon info claimed it fit my application.
