Color: Yellow Zinc Chromate
Just for clarification to people who are covering aluminum and are looking for a zinc chromate primer on Amazon:

Zinc Chromate Yellow or Zinc Chromate Green are phrases that can be used to refer to just the color of the paint or the actual ingredient in the paint. You can find out if the product actually has zinc chromate in it by going to the MSDS (Manufacturer's Safety Data Sheet) of the product.

VHT Prime Coat is a great line of primers by VHT that comes in multiple colors of which Yellow Zinc Chromate is one of the color choices. Although it is a very good description of the color, it contains no zinc chromate. VHT is not hiding this fact as has been suggested. You can go to the MSDS on the VHT website to see the list of ingredients for yourself. I would've given this product a higher star rating (because I have used VHT primer and have been very satisfied) but it irritates me that I had to dig so deep to find out it didn't have zinc chromate as an ingredient.

If you are looking for a primer that actually contains zinc chromate, you can use the Moeller Zinc Chromate Primer. The MSDS on the Moeller site shows zinc chromate as an ingredient: [...]
Apparently, the Moeller product is also marketed elsewhere under the ProMar (by Donovan Marine) name. Their MSDS is exactly the same as the Moeller product.

The Krylon K05135000 Zinc Primer Spray found elsewhere on Amazon is not an aluminum primer.

Just for completeness sake, the Zinc Chromate Testors Enamel Plastic Model Paint by TESTORS is a color only and is not purporting to be anything but a paint for plastic models.

Loved the look for this on my wheels! It went on perfectly and I did two coats just to make sure I got it all on.. after it sat for a few days I found that my whole car just looked better with this paint and I would do this again for the next car I get! only issue I found with this is that due to all the snow we've had in the past few days, the salt on the roads tore up some of the paint which really sucks. but it doesn't matter since it still looks great from this paint! I would recommend this to anyone!

First can had nozzle floating around in lid. Took half the can and several minutes to re-attach. Then, it was too far down and had to be readjusted more than once. Poor quality can. Sprays okay, but drips while spraying!! Terrible.

Great coverage and sand-ability. Fast dry time even when used in a 60 degree 'booth". I did order enough for my project and had to visit the parts store. Their closest match on color was Duplicolor which was utterly terrible compared to this VHT stuff.

Used to refinish motorcycle fairing, I really liked this primer. Going on was fine, plenty in each can, but what I really liked was how easy it was to get a very smooth finish when wet sanding. I did several coats and didn't but enough so I went to a local pepboys to get another can of generic primer and the difference in wet sandability (not sure if that's a word) was clear. For small jobs, this stuff is really great.

Worked quite well, although, I thought with it being a fillable primer I wouldn't need to sand out a few deep scratches on my car door. It did not full them as I had hoped, otherwise a solid product (used with duplicolor aerosol paint).

I used this as part of a project to take care of some nasty curb bite on alloy rims. The primer did a decent job of filling in tiny cracks, but the nozzle didn't work quite as well as I had hoped---it wasn't too much of a problem, though. In conjunction with the primer I used bondo spot putty, einszett silber spray, and rust-oleum clear wheel paint as a lacquer.
