Perfect replacement part. Finally no more leaks! Make sure to remove all of the old O ring material and assemble with oil on the new O rings. (New O rings are not included, and it is suggested using specific O rings for oil retention.)

I purchased these oil cooler lines elsewhere but since they came in a sealed Dorman bag I’m assuming that’s what’s being sold here… and they look exactly like what I received. Since these are pretty much the same items, I’m using one review for both. Both bags I received were factory sealed but the 625-142 (lower line) did not include the plastic clip needed to insert the tube into the oil filter adapter… the 625-141 did have the clip. The clips are also available separately as Dorman 800-802. The 625-141 (upper line) is identical to the lower with the exception that the rubber hose section is longer. That means the upper portion of the metal tube that connects to the radiator is by no means similar to the bent metal tube OEM it’s replacing. It also puts the lines must closer to the drive belt so I added some ties to make sure it doesn’t get cut by the belt. Several reviews mentioned they didn’t get the O-rings but there weren’t any on either ends of my existing lines but they were on the new lines. I’m replacing the lines on a 1990 Chevy K-2500 350 pickup so my application may be different than others. Since I was under the truck I also decided to remove the oil filter adapter and replace the gasket & O-ring that came in a Victor GS33272 set. I also replaced the connectors that hold the tubes in the oil filter adapter and used Dorman 800-701. It’s a bit of a stretch getting that upper line to the radiator but it definitely won’t follow the same route as the one it’s replacing.

This was not an easy removal/installation for several reasons… and if you’re replacing original equipment you’ll likely have the same problems I did.Read more ›

My 1993 5.7 is threaded 3/4" X 18tpi. This part is metric, 20mmX1.5 pitch. The quick connect also doesn't fit correctly, and leaks large amounts of oil.

They are supposed to have all the connections with them..
