These are high quality tools that are made in the USA. I already own the metric set and wanted to add this set to my toolbox and am glad I did. They are super easy to clean with the shiny finish and are easy to keep organized with the labeled plastic case that is easy to read from a distance. In case it is not noticed by the picture the wrenches are designed to only have a ball end on the long end and not the short end since most will need the short end for situations requiring higher torque. These are a great addition to my quality tool collection!

For a bit I was losing hope in getting properly spec'd tools to use. Some German brands have gone to contractors for some of the line and the results disappointing. Various "Made in USA" companies were undersized and the metal on the soft side. The hex keys were sloppy and combined with the makers of fasteners, I've seen far to much wastage. Circular filing 18-8 socket hex screws becomes $$ and especially those turned stateside that cost more than the ones from some Canada or Korea producers. After every 25-100 fasteners the keys would need to be sharpened so they would not cam out or damage the hex screws. Once the ball end is worn, they are cut off then the long ends used in various other drivers during other stages of parts assembly.

Wasn't so sure with Bondhaus because some of their basic keys were also undersized. Took a chance on these and I'm pleased with the quality and spec's. Each sized key is consistent and may vary .001-.0025" from the dead-on spec. Good job. As far as "long handle" I consider these mid-length but still sufficient for initially torquing the fasteners up. (My use for "long handle" is that once the ball and L bend end is cut off, the remaining shank is useful. I'll still sharpen the keys for every 100 or so fasteners so this yields a long wearing tool for the cost.)

Finish is clean though not as nicely machined or polished. There are various nicks and dings along the edges indicating that once machined they get dumped into the big bins prior to finish/coatings applied. The ends of the tool have coarse grind marks as well.

The keys I've sourced from Japan that are made by Asahi Tools are beautifully finished, not a ding along the shaft can be seen nor are there coarse cut/grind marks at the ends of the tool.

I had an old set of these wrenches that lasted for years but I lost the ones that I need the most. I bought a Craftsmen set and I was so disappointed, they stripped very easily. So, I came back to Bondhus. They are strong and hold up very well, and even with shipping charges they are still cheaper then Craftsmen. I like them in silver so I can tell them from my Metric set (also Bondhus). I highly recommend these wrenches.

I got a set of Sears Craftsman wrenches exactly like these (except with the black finish). The set even has same type of plastic holder. Comparing them side-to-side I find the finish and fit of this Bondhus set to be superior They snap in and out of the plastic holder better and the holder is a highly visible yellow, making it easier to find and provides better contrast for the black lettering. While I agree with another buyer's comment that the smoother surface might slip easier than the black finish, when using them somehow the finish is so crisp and hard I have more confidence they are positioned well and won't slip.

Nice finish, but I thought the metric and inch versions had different colors so you can tell them apart. I didn't notice that I purchased both versions with the same BriteGuard (silver) Finish, instead of buying one set in the BriteGuard Finish and the other in the (more expensive) GoldGuard finish. Too much trouble to change things now, so I'll just have to manually mark one set with nail polish or colored tape. Plus, the thin wrenches were already bent (in both sets) and had to be straightened before being used; so, only 4 stars.

I bought this and the metric set, and I am impressed the force I've been able to put on these without anything stripping. The ball ends make life a lot easier, and the fairly long handles get the force to the hex key. What's not to like, a good quality tool set. OK, it's almost a year down the road here, and I've been using the HELL out of them on a Sportster rebuild project. These are my favorite tools, at this point. Definitely tough enough for anyone. Give them ten stars, if I could.

I had never heard of these before. Now they are all I look for when I need allen wrenches. I have metric and standard. Not sure if it's the material they're made of or coated with, but they are definitely lasting longer than other wrenches I've had.

I was shopping for a pair of holders for my allen wrenches, discovered you can get decent, American made tools for only a little bit more, who knew ! These have a nice finish on them, fit in the holder nicely (though you do have to twist a bunch to get the smaller ones out past the big ones) and they are quite long for good leverage.
