This product probably works (I haven't been able to confirm it), but not for the purpose I bought it. This device will not allow you to do VGA output (computer with older graphics card) onto a DVI input (DVI only monitor, TV with DVI input). It seems this product is intended to do the reverse, to go from a DVI output into a VGA input (maybe a newer computer to an older video projector). I gave this a 3 star because this seems more a fault of my understanding of what this product did, and less a fault of the product. So a quick warning, unless you are the exception (some tech-aware person needing to connect some wierd piece) this product probably isnt what you're looking for. It will not let you turn your new tv into a monitor for your old computer.
