The angle of the tweeter guard complements the angle of the surround guard, resulting in linear expansion of sound and less distortion of mid and high frequencies. these sound so good. crisp and clear. i also have the 6 1/2 type R and these are right there. the type R all better w/crossovers
Type R = 10
Type S = 8-9 really good.
