Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

Free your iPod from that small screen and open up a new world of possibilities with the ATO iSee 360, which turns most clickwheel iPods, iPod mini or iPod nano into a full-fledged video recorder/player.

Just slide your iPod into the iSee 360, and you're ready to watch. See the device in detail.
Simply slide your iPod into the dock on the back of the iSee 360 and you're ready to watch whatever videos you have stored on your iPod.

The iSee 360's 3.6-inch, high quality LCD screen provides bright, vivid viewing, and 640 x 480 resolution means that it can display full-screen television images. Plus, a lightweight mobile design makes the iSee just a tad larger than the iPod itself. Your iPod slips into the back of the iSee 360, creating a sleek, compact, all-in-one appearance. Power up the device and you're greeted by an intuitive, easy-to-use interface that lets you navigate your videos, music, and photos quickly.

Using the iSee 360, you can record video from all your home entertainment components straight to your iPod's hard drive.
While it's true that the latest video iPod plays specially formatted and downloaded videos, the iSee 360 takes that idea a big step forward, allowing you to view, and even record, any kind of video you want to watch. Record TV shows directly from your TV for playback, or record compressed video to your iPod for playback. You can also play movies, music videos, photos, and music from your PC and the Web. The iSee 360 supports a wide range of video formats, including MPEG 2 and MPEG 4. What's more, when you want to curl up with some great photo memories, you can zoom in and pan your photos, or create and play slide shows.

iSee's great connectivity options make it more than just a handheld device. As mentioned, video-in lets you record from your TV, VCR, or TiVo, and a video-out port lets you view your videos on a television screen. Meanwhile, audio-in and audio-out functionality lets you record audio from any analog source and then listen to it on any external system. The iSee 360 ships with AcrSoft audio/video conversion software that helps you convert your videos for viewing on the device, as well as VidiScape, an application that provides connectivity between your PC and the iSee 360.

The iSee 360's replaceable, rechargeable battery delivers four hours of battery life, without using power from the iPod battery. An included AC adapter charges the iSee and your iPod at the same time. An included standard dock makes it easy to connect the iSee 360 to your other devices and power without having to plug or unplug cables every time you want to connect.

What's in the Box
iSee 360, AC adapter, protective sleeve, software CD-ROM, user's manual, using VidiScape manual, iSee quick setup guide, A/V (audiovisual) cables, and standard dock.

1.0 out of 5 stars ***WARNING FOR GEN5 IPODS***, December 19, 2006
After reading all the reviews I could find online, I thought this would be a perfect solution for a work related application. I have a 5th generation 30GB video iPod, a model which their website claims it supports. My first purchase turned out to be a dud or so I thought and I exchanged it for another. Only after I called their customer support did I find out that the 5th gen 30GB video iPod is not supported. Not yet at least and that a new firmware is needed and is being worked on and will be released SOMETIME next year. Needless to say, I'm EXTREMELY annoyed that nothing like this has been stated by the company in ANY way.

1.0 out of 5 stars Best in Show at MacWorld, June 12, 2006
Based on this, I had high hopes for the iSee 360i and was perhaps one of the first ones to get this item and try it out. I may be the ONLY one so far, because as of this date I couldn't find a single other mainstream review. Now I may know why: it's a complete dud. I could not get it to work in the slightest with my 60GB video iPOD. Depending on the iPOD you have, there are adapters that must be ordered seperately, because quite unbelieveably, they are not included. To add further insult to injury, the instructions are vague and did not make clear (at least to me) which iPOD should be used with this unit without having to order adapters. Needelessly to say, I returned it almost immediately. I would defintely say that the iSee is not ready for Prime Time!

This product is a really cool idea, but I was unable to use it upon arrival. Little did I know when I purchased it is that the 80 gig ipod does not fit. Its quite a downfall despite the great concept, but I had to sell mine since I couldn't use it.
