I am in the military and stationed in San Diego, Three weeks ago I installed these plugs for my 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid as they were listed as the OEM spec plug at the local base autoport. Ran fine for about two weeks then I started noticing acceleration was getting slugish. I didnt think much of it except maybe I got some bad gas. Then a week later as I was 3 hours into a nearly 6 hour drive heading up the steep southern california grapevine hills heading north on Interstate 5 around 10pm at night the engine light came on and the Honda safe mode kicked in limiting me to 2000 RPM's. Pulled over and shut the engine off and looked under the hood. Didnt notice anything obvious. Started back up and a white plume of smoke came out of the tail pipe and the engine was shuttering. I slowly drove the car the rest of the trip and went to the nearest dealer the next day.

They pulled the plugs out and found two of the 8 (yes it takes 8 plugs in a civic hybrid) plugs were melted from pre-ignition in cylinder 1, and the plugs in cylinder 2 and 4 were fouled. The two plugs in cylinder 3 were fine and that was the cylinder that got me home. I drove 150 miles on one cylinder! I had the Honda dealer put the preferred brand plugs in and now the car continuously smokes and shutters. turns out the plugs that melted damaged the valves in cylinder 1. So now I have to get the car towed home 300+ miles back to San Diego and then find a mechanic to either fix the valves or replace the head depending on how bad the damage is. And pray the block didn't get damaged. Luckily the autoport on base was nice enough to refund the $60 I paid for the plugs. But who should pay for the $1000 or more engine damage caused by the plug? I guess I will have to because I don't have another car. My car is not a turbo or supercharged sports car this was a 1.3 liter Honda hybrid family car I use to commute with daily. If these plugs cant handle that then why would I put them in anything else Autolite?

I have a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 5.7L Hemi. At 90,000 km I replaced the crappy OEM Copper Champion plugs with 16 of these. I put on 210,000km more on the Autolite Double Platinum plugs with no issues. Great performance and gas mileage. At 300,000km and four years later I have installed a new set. Since labour costs 3 manhours which typically costs $300 to install, these better plugs are way cheaper and convenient to run. I'm very pleased.

install these plugs in my 2005 Tundra. Ran great for 3K miles, then, engine light came on P0306..missing number 6 cylinder.. pull the plug out, bad plug.. junked all 6.. put back the OE denso plugs, no problem, runs fine.. never had any issue with Autolite until now...will I ever buy Autolite spark plugs again, remain to be seen..

Got a good deal on these plugs so I tired them out. I don't believe any claims from any spark plug manufacturer as to increased power, performance, or gas mileage. If this were the case Toyota or whoever would have installed them from the factory, and they'd be more expensive. They work and I've had them for a number of months without any issues except I have noticed that they burn gas. If we could find a spark plug that didn't burn gas we'd all be getting better gas mileage.

Iridium spark plugs are the only ones I have ever noticed a performance increase when used. Price was reasonable. Looking forward to receiving the rest of the order of 15 so I can actually use them. The one piece came in an envelope and the spark plug had come out of it's box. Not very happy about the way it was shipped they should have known better.

These Iridium core spark plugs are the best value out there. The key to a good spark plug is the materials that are used that cary the electric signal. Iridium is the best and most durable. This is why they say they last 100,000 miles. I'm partial to Autolite, so I use their Iridium plugs since they are typically the best priced. However to be fair, any spark plug with an iridium core will perform excellent as long is it is from a reputable spark plug manufacturer. i.e. Champion, Autolite, AC, NGK, Denso.

quality plug. installed in my 2009 dodge hemi. runs great, smoother idle. been in 7000 miles runs great. price was great. lot of hemi owner use this plug according to the forums. 1/2 the price f the 'other' platinum/iridium plugs and no less quality. I called lot of the other plug manufactures and Autolite was best buy out there.

I replaced the OEM NGK (LFR6AIX-11 Iridium IX Spark Plug) at 100,000 miles, not because of any power or performance loss; but because the plugs had 100,000 miles on them. When I picked up my car and found out the shop had put in the Autolite XP5325 Xtreme Performance Iridium Spark Plug, I was disappointed; but it was my fault as I did not request the OEM NGK's. I did not trust the Autolite to go the 100,000 miles my NGK's did so I had them changed at 75,000 miles. The plugs looked good and my car runs the same. I can not tell any difference from the NGK's to the Autolite and back to the NGK's. Maybe if I had left them in for 100,000 miles, but I did not so I just do not know.
