This is an extremely powerful pellet. I was plinking in the yard today and wanted to compare the penetration power of an assortment of pellets. I was firing the pellets from my Gamo Whisper (1,000 fps) my target was a six inch diameter piece of galvanized pipe which is pretty thick. I was firing the Gamo Magnum, Match, Hunter, Masterpoint, and Rocket Pellets. I was firing from about 20yds. The first four pellets made pretty good dents in the pipe, but when I fired the Gamo Rocket Pellet, it went clean through the front side of the pipe and made a welt on the other side. At first I thought it was a thin part of the pipe so I shot at the pipe again and the pellet went through the front again with no problem, I was very impressed with the penetrating power of the Gamo Rocket Pellet. If you want to kill any pests with one shot, this pellet won't let you down. It's an awesome pellet and one of my favorites.

After testing quite a few pellets which were lighter, and with horrible results, i finally moved up to these. At 9.6 grains, my 1200fps rifle will fire these at subsonic speeds, maintaining accuracy. Anything lighter would crack the sound barrier, tumble in the air,and ultimately be completely inaccurate. Also, the resulting noise of the lighter pellets (breaking sound barrier) was unacceptable while I'm ending the lives of squirrels in my residential back yard. These may shoot slower with their heavier weight, but they hit with more inertia and are far more accurate. Again, this review applies to rifles shooting over 1000fps.

these pellets have great penetration, accuracy, and really just hit hard! i killed a groundhog with one shot in my 820 FPS Crossman Storm, from 7 yards in my chicken coup. it didnt move a single muscle. I have tried Crossman Premeiers and JSB Predators at the same distance and they failed to kill in one shot. these are the best hunting pellet on the market.

take a look at the comparison between a normal pellet on the left ('Gamo pro match competition') and this one with ballistic tip on the right.

My Remington "Vantage" fires these babies at just under 1100 FPS and they penetrate beyond belief! Great for small pests and once you have them zeroed in with a scope you can shoot through a hole the size of a dime at 20 yards all day. Be careful not to disfigure the skirt of the pellet during loading to keep the groups nice and tight. They are worth every cent and are the only pellets I use! If shooting indoors MAKE CERTAIN YOU HAVE A GOOD BACKSTOP! They go through 2" x 4" 's like butter!

300 rounds shot in my Benjamin Trail NP, this pellet delivers consistent accuracy and powerful impact. It blew through 1/2 plywood at 35 yards, once fractured the corner of a 2x4 at 40 yards and put a hole through my steel wheel barrow at 20 yards. It helped harvest a quail at 34 yards and took out a chicken killing raccoon. Just ordered another 450 pellets.

I really like this pellet !
I recently bought blue flame , red fire, rockets, and a combo pack of old fashioned lead 7.59 grain pellets
I fire them thru a big cat 1200 by gamo and I find them the most accurate,& expensive round I can find out of the high performance gamo lead pellets
They do go thru tin at a hundred feet clean and the long skirt really does make it quite accurate from a distance .. With a dry shot( no lube ) it will punch clean thru a piece of 1x6 pine from 40'
At a hundred feet it won't unless I hit a "wet" shot lmao!!
They sonic boom/crack completely accurately at 100' and it will go thru two tin cans at that distance with minimal deflection ... I know guys !! It's bad to diesel an air gun ... But wtf !! I can replace parts with better ones

Very hard punch thru at distance with incredible accuracy.. Most leaded pellets won't go thru tin at a hundred feet even with a combustible charge , and because they are heavy the sonic crack never catches the pellet at that kind of distance due to velocity loss .. Example pba blue flames fire dry out of my gun and are 3-4 FEET grouping ... The sonic boom catches up and kicks it in the ass so hard they are unusable at 60'.
And I'll be writing a detailed review about them soon

Gamo Rocket .177 Cal, 9.6 Grains, Ballistic Tip, 150/Tin
A very great performance ballistic alloy pellet with a straight and lethal combination which makes it deadly to whatever you shoot it at. A very powerful pellet which needs to be carefully handled by adults or at least under adult supervision. Beware the cost of shipping this item to you as it is heavy, but there is only a small tin of it. Good for small varmint hunting. With the use of a good scope the sky's the limit.
