The box, the CD all say Hunting Unlimited "5" but when it's installed it says Hunting Unlimited 2010.

I like the Africa map and have the setting on that allows animals to attack (they don't normally kill you in the Free Hunt area but will attack and "bump" you. Other parts of the game you die....

I'm running this on a new computer with Windows 7 64bit and NVIDIA video card and it looks beautiful. The colors are breathing. There is the occasional rendering glitch as a few tree roots are above the ground and a few hunting stands don't seem set in the sand but the action is good.

I do seem to do a lot of walking (don't care for the horse or ATV) but I always end up bagging a few elephants, boor, lions and antelope (they will all attack you and seem to love sneaking up while your looking through the scope you will hear their hove. It gets the pulse pounding as you top the crest of a hill only to find a wounded elephant charging you and you only have time to shoot from the hip. It's also startling when you scan the landscape and suddenly a lion's face fills the scope as it's charging you and 2 yards away.

Sometimes noise attracts them except the elephants which run and may scatter. Biggest heard was 5.

Lions may be alone but usually are 2 or more and it seems if you kill one its buddies will come after you, same with elephants. Watch the birds as they are curious about the animals (alive or dead) and it's a clue when you're looking for them. Yes, you can kill the flying birds and they drop to the ground. Strangely there is a 'DUCK' in Africa once in awhile complete with rings around it's neck and easy to hit but no points for the birds...

This game was for my 9-year-old son. He says he likes it because it has good animation and the amount of different things you can hunt in different countries. He says it has a lot of different types of guns and you can create your own hunting scenario. He likes that there are a lot of calls and scents too so you can either walk around to hunt, or sit in one spot to wait for the animals. He wishes the instructions told you how to use your calls "and stuff". Also, we have Windows 7 and sometimes the controls stop working forcing the computer to have to be shut down and back on again.

I bought this game from Amazon after finding the reviews all across the internet unhelpful. The game arrived and as I had ordered, the disc read "Hunting Unlimited 5." This game is Hunting Unlimited 5, but take a look at the cover of Hunting Unlimited 2010. They are the same cover. Thats because when you install this game, it actually tells you that you are installing Hunting Unlimited 2010. That was fine for me because I had played a demo of HU2010 and thought it was great. So check out the reviews for HU2010 if you want to know more about this game.

The control settings are only for a keyboard and mouse. I have an xBox controller and I can not use it on this game. I was so disappointed. In addition, the Hunting unlimited 2010 demo is available for download from SCS Software website. Hunting unlimited 5 is the same as Hunting unlimited 2010. I wish I tried the demo version before I bought this PC game.
