Product Description

Amazon.com

The Panasonic KX-TH111S cordless phone system utilizes 2.4 GHz technology which maintains great security, incredible clarity, and long range. The system expands to accommodate a total of eight cordless handsets. It can also make use of cellular convergence technology, coordinating with up to five Bluetooth-compatible cell phones so you can share cellular system features with your land line.

Always Know Who's Calling
The KX-TH111S is call waiting caller ID compatible (requires a subscription) and requires no batteries to operate. A three-line LCD screen on the base and four-line LCD on the handset provide access to the name and number of the person calling, along with the date and time of their call. You can scroll through the list of the 20 most recent calls, and redial any of them with the touch of a button.

Hands-free Operation
A headset jack is located on the handset, and can accommodate a standard 2.5 mm headset (available separately); a speakerphone is also located on the base, supplying you with hands-free operation. A redial button lets you quickly dial the last outgoing number, while the flash button provides access to call waiting. Handset and ringer volume controls allow you to adjust levels to your liking.

What's in the Box:
Base, cordless handset, AC adapter, handset battery, belt clip, battery cover, telephone line cord, printed user's guide, warranty card

5.0 out of 5 stars Phone works great! Why would anyone buy (or need) this if they wanted to use a BT headset??, March 13, 2007
By criteriondvd "criteriondvd" (Alabama United States) - See all my reviews
I believe that the original comments posted by others are not a fair assessment as the main feature of the Panasonic system is to provide you with CORDLESS phone features & cellular convergence for use throughout your home, NOT that of a bluetooth headset! If the original poster (or prospective purchaser) is set on using a bluetooth headset with their cell phone, then why would they even buy (or need) the Panasonic? As long as someone is within range of their cell phone, they can pair more than one bluetooth device, including the Panasonic cordless phone AND a bluetooth headset to the cell phone. No need to use a bluetooth headset with the Panasonic, just use it with the cell phone!

No problems with interference or hiss between 2.4ghz WiFi router (Belkin 125HSM) and the Panasonic phone system. I have both my router and the phone base on the same desk. If there were problems, they would be apparent, especially due to the close proximity to one another. The posts from those who state this is a problem have not bothered to include what brand/model WiFi router they are using.

My personal experience with this product has been overwhelmingly positive! I bought it as I wanted to have several easy to use cordless phones throughout my house and use only my cellular connection. I have no land line, or even a need for one. I've used Panasonic products for many years and this is one more great product from them!

If your main desire is to use a bluetooth headset with your cell phone, then why even bother buying this product? Just use your cell phone and headset only! I have T-Mobile service and use a T-mobile Dash phone. Works great!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good design and implamentation but not a solution for everything, July 8, 2007

It is important that you understand what this systems does and what it does well. For instance, when you pair your phone to the base station, you must leave your phone with the base station and walk around your house with the cordless handset. The BT range between base station and cell phone is the same as cell phone and BT headset-- about 10ft. The sound quality is very good when the two are close, and degrades rapidly as you move away.
Once the base station and phone are paired you then have the very good range afforded by a panasonic 5.8GHz cordless system. The rest of the system is pretty standard, answering machine, room monitor, Caller ID, etc.
A few Blue Tooth Notes. My newer phones paired without any problem. My treo 650 does not pair and an old sony ericsson T608 pairs unreliably. Given that the KX-th111 is the same in all cases obviously the BT implementation in the different phones may or may not be compatible. As long as you buy from a vendor that affords a return, this shouldn't be a concern. Once the phone is paired, re-pairing when you come home for instance, is just a one button procedure. If you want to make a call from cordless hand set and haven't re-paired the phone, you dial and it will re-pair automatically. If you receive a call and haven't re-paired you will have to transfer it to the base station. my sanyo 8400 allows for a preference, auto transfer to BT. So I never have to manually re-pair-- it happens automatically. This is especially convenient if you have multiple cell phones paired with the base station. Overall I am very happy, though I haven't tried to use a BT headset.

1.0 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware!!, April 11, 2007
By gator6100 (Florida, USA) - See all my reviews
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Recently purchased this item with the hope that calls coming in through my cell would transfer to the base unit. Prior to purchasing the unit and handset, I checked Panasonic's website to be certain my MotoRazr V3 was compatible. According to their site, V3 is a compatible phone so I bought the Panasonic. Unfortunately, V3 (or at least my V3) has 2.0 bluetooth. The Panasonic KX-TH111s is ONLY compatible if your bluetooth is 1.1 or 1.2!
Was greatly disappointed in the product and have returned it after several calls to Panasonic tech support.
