    3.0 out of 5 stars Decent switch, January 24, 2007
    This review is from: Belkin F1DG102P Flip 2-Port KVM Switch with Audio Support (PS/2 Connection) (Electronics)
    I was looking for a simple monitor A-B switch to connect a Mac and a PC to the same monitor, but settled on this item instead after reading about iffy connections with mechanical switches. On the Belkin Flip, the switch and video routing mechanisms draw power from the PS/2 keyboard port, so be aware, if you're planning to use this as a monitor-only switch, at least one of the keyboard connectors needs to be connected and powered up at all times or no video signal will get through. In my case, I also had to buy a USB-to-PS/2 adapter (another $25 or so at CompUSA, cheaper elsewhere) to drive power from the Macintosh side. Once properly connected to keyboard ports on both computers, the switch has functioned flawlessly for me.

    5.0 out of 5 stars Simple and Effective, with undocumented convenience, November 8, 2006
    This review is from: Belkin F1DG102P Flip 2-Port KVM Switch with Audio Support (PS/2 Connection) (Electronics)
    You may also toggle machines using the keyboard instead of the (cute but loud) clicker remote.

    * Double-tap the Scroll-Lock key.
    * The base and remote will flash for about 2 seconds.
    * While flashing, press 1 or 2.
    * 1 selects the green/left machine, 2 selects the yellow/right machine.

    If you've had issues with other KVMs, especially USB KVMs, I recommend you get this KVM with USB-to-PS/2 converter dongles for the end of your USB keyboard and USB mouse. The dongles are small, cheap and work perfectly.

    This device works exactly as expected.

    I need easy access to two computers, but did not want to waste desk space by having two monitors. The Belkin Flip is very easy to hook-up. It's working great.
