I purchased the 50 pack of multi-colors to use to make cookbooks for some friends for Christmas presents. Here are some things you should know:
- 20 page max (although I fit 24 pages of standard printer paper with no issue).
- These are not 2 sheets, they are one sheet folded. I say this to clarify that you don't get a clear cover (this is what I thought), but the color is front and back. I found this did not hinder the appearance or ability to read at all. Most of the people who received them ended up liking the blue and green best.
- All of the spines are white (not colored as the picture seems to look (optical illusion).
So that being said, I was really pleasantly surprised. I was concerned based on other reviews that 24 pages wouldn't fit at all, but they fit with no problem at all. I didn't have a hard time getting the spines opened. I just started with a corner of the covers with the pages inside, fit it down into the opening, and the rest was a slide. You may want to have something like a counter top to press against as you slide down, but I'm not the strongest person and I did it with no issue. Took me about 10 minutes to make 30 of them. They looked great, were holding really well, and everyone really liked them. I would definitely use again.

I purchased these report covers to use as "books" for my ninth grade students who were writing children's books. I've purchased them in years past, and the quality has gone downhill. They were so flimsy that many creased. I will not order these again in the future.

I purchased this product because the Avery was out of stock. It gets the job done, but the Avery is better. I found these folders harder to assemble because the binding bars were very tight.

These report covers are practical as the spines can be removed for copying or other purposes.
The only problem is that the spines fit too tightly on the cover, which limits the number of pages that can be bound.
However you can spread open the spines with a screwdriver or pocket knife to remedy that issue.
