Overall, I was pleased with this product. It works best if you apply it to each strand of hair. (This can be time consuming). I found that when I used it like a crayon and tried to apply it directly against my scalp, it tended to smudge. This was a bit unsightly on my front hairline. However, when I applied it directly strand by strand, the results were instantaneous and effective. The temporary color remains until you wash your hair.
