Its a nice simple board. Having the power supply is nice, but space is a bit limited (I expected it to be). It seems they've tried to accommodate the power chord issue by making an inline xformer, that can be tucked under the board with the power supply (that gives you roughly 3ft of power chord to use, but better than risking damage to the DC chord.) All things considered though, I think its a bit more versatile than other powered boards on the market and great if you just have a few pedals.

Overall this is a great pedal board. The board itself is built quite well and seems sturdy. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is because the power supply setup could be better. I'd prefer it if a standard computer power cable (think and tough) plugged into that back of the board instead. The current cable seems a little flimsy and easy to tear/break. Due to that it might not be the best choice for gigging.

cool - only issue is that the carrying handle is on the heavier edge - so you if you try to store it by standing it on edge, you have to put the handle side down. Not really a big deal, just a little awkward. Works great on stage!

OK, updating my review. After about a month, the power adapter stopped working. Gator was kind enough to send a free replacement - however, after another month or so, the converter took a dump too (9v bank stopped working altogether). I'm sure Gator would gladly replace the unit, but at this point, why bother... I mean, if it's just gonna tank again in a month? I can't in all good conscience recommend this brand.

Nice features, terrible quality. The bag is great, and the board size was just perfect for the intended use, but the quality of the board itself was just awful. Unglued corners all over the place, even a missing piece of wood in one of them. Even before the first gig the board looks like it has taking a beating already. Sadly since I live in Mexico it would be too expensive to send it back, but I really regret this purchase.

Very nice pedal board. I have had no problems with this board or the built in power supply. Since this is not a huge pedal board, you may need to get low profile angle cables so you can get more pedals attached.

I've owned multiple fixed boards over the years, but I much rather stick with individual effect units*** I've purchased a few empty boards and they wound up falling apart, then it's deep six time *** My brother-in-law purchased the GPTBLPWR as a X-Mass gift 5 years ago, and much to my surprise, it's still kicking ass*** I've dropped it a few times, it's been accidentally stepped on a few times, kicked around numerous times, but after all this abuse, she's still rockin' as hard as ever *** Yes, it's heavy, Yes, the power cord is a bit flimsy, but I think I can deal with those negatives*** Actually, I upgraded the power cord to a heavier gauge which only cost me an extra 5 bucks and a little of my time *** I'd totally recommend this product to anyone who is constantly on the move with there gear *** The cool thing about this is that when my bro-in-law purchased it 5 years ago, it was only $89.95 *** To bad guy's, you should have taken a chance back then, you could have saved a little change, but all in all, it's very worth every penny*** You won't be disappointed, I can guarantee it *** Thanks again Amazon / Gator for another job well done ***

Love this board! Had around ten gigs with it so far. Power supply works great and nothing is falling apart, the zipper on the bag seems fine. People say they want to have a shoulder strap for it. I don't know about that. With all the pedals it gets pretty heavy. Imagine a shoulder strap for an amp head? :) Well thankfully the board has a sturdy handle for carrying around.

Tips that made it work for me:

1. I'm using the front pouch for my wah pedal which I just bust out and put next to the board during gigs (when I need it for the gig) This way I have plenty of real estate left to work with on the board itself.
2. I have a couple of mini pedals that I use less often turned 90 degrees all the way at the top of the board.

First, this thing is great so far. I like to keep my pedals clean and nice in case I sell them later, and this was a huge time save as I used to box / unbox each pedal and set them up, plug everything in, etc..

So on that note, here are some tips that will save you some headache.

1) No shoulder strap. Not a big deal, a laptop strap works fine, but you have to rig it up yourself, which sucks.

2) If you have pedals in a chain going through the Effects Loop on your amp which are using the GBUS-8 power supply under the board, do NOT power anything that is going into the Guitar-Effect-Amp chain from the GBUS. This results in a nasty hum. I have an EQ and Overdrive going through the FX loop, and a Noise Gate off the guitar-to-amp chain that was using the GBUS for power, and resulted in a LOUD hum. I used an AC adapter on the Noise Gate and it went away.

This may be common knowledge for most people, but since this was my first pedal board and using FX loop, it was news to me. Hope this helps someone because it drove me nuts for a while.

3) Kind of heavy, so don't load it to capacity with your pedals, it adds up quick! I live on the 3rd floor and carrying my amp head (6505+), guitar, bag of stuff, and this pedal board with three pedals in it is alwasy a great workout =P

All in all, I am really happy with this purchase!
