This is a 10" rod saw but a good hacksaw is adjustable for various lengths so even if you have a 12" hack saw blade in the saw now, you can probably use this. Just take the current blade off and the adjustment will be obvious. It cuts through ceramic tile fairly quickly and with little effort. I cannot cut as straight a line with this as could be cut with a diamond wheel so you might want to have your big box store do free straight cuts for most pieces but for pieces that will be covered with a switch plate this works fine. This saw is made in Taiwan.

The Amazon description stated that this would fit any standard hacksaw frame, but the actual packaging says it will fit a standard 10 inch hacksaw frame. Luckily, I bought an adjustable hacksaw frame which accepts a variety of blade sizes. I used this rod to trim my driver's graphite shaft, and this rod went through the shaft in under 20 seconds without splintering the graphite. The tungsten grit is extremely durable, and the only maintenance needed is light scrubbing with a tooth brush to clear the abrasive material.

Overall: 5/5 stars, great price and quality

I've been using these to cut 1/4 inch CPM 10V Carbon Steel. They do the job. You can change the direction of cut for curves and contours very well because of the rod shape. I'm very happy. Not many saw frames are ten inch, though, so make sure your frame will handle blades this short.

It'll cut the tile, but it will take forever. Cutting odd shapes, what worked best for me... was to use my Dremel with a diamond blade. Cut shallow guide groove dry. Then pour a few capfuls of water from a water bottle, it'll run along the groove. Then use the Diamond Dremel, it'll cut like butter. Did this with floor tile to cut a semicircle almost 1.5ft in diameter.

This Rod Saw, back and forth vigorously for a few mins, barely cut 2mm.

This was bought to help on fine cuts on a ceramic tile job, it really helped out for smaller cuts, will try it on other materials as I need it, but worked well for what I wanted it for. Would buy another when this one wears out.

These blades cut through hardened metal that a regular hacksaw blade won't even scratch. They're indispensable when it comes to cutting hardened or stainless steel.

Keep in mind that this blade only works with a 10" hacksaw or one that adjusts to 10". We purchased it to cut landscaping stones
that are about 1 to 3 inches in size. We built a dry stone stack wall and this blade does a good job at cutting the stones you need
for top rocks. It will bend it you need it to because my stones a like jigsaw pieces. The blade cuts just looked to artificial to me.
Great blade for that purpose.
