I needed to replace the speakers in my boat and was hoping to find speakers that matched the existing mounting holes. These are advertised as 5.25" speakers, but the face plate is a full 6" (the manufacturer told me that the face plate was 5-1/2"). The circular cut-out for mounting needs to be 4-1/2" (not 4-3/8" like the manufacturer said). I'm really not sure where the 5.25" measurement comes from; even the box calls them 5" speakers, so go figure.

Fortunately for me, I needed the 6" faceplate (I guessed that the manufacturer's rep was wrong) and the mounting holes lined up perfectly. Note that your cut-out needs to be almost perfect as the screw holes are just outside its perimeter, and if you make the cut-out too big, your screws will have nothing to grab; too small and the speaker won't fit inside.

The sound of these are better than the original speakers in the boat. Strong bass, good mid- and high range, and able to take the power of my new radio and be played loudly to offset the sound of the boat motor. Solidly constructed. A great buy!

For my application, replace front speakers on my Victory Vision motorcycle. They are a bit over sized and would not fit the 5.25" speaker holes. BUT, these speaker did fit nicely into the rear speaker location. ?? I believe the larger basket design of this speaker is the reason it won't fit in the forward location.

That being said, these speakers are a nice upgrade from my factory speakers. They actually sound nice with out being too tinney/bright at high volumes. The poly cone construction and sealed foam surround means no water will damage this speaker. Worth the cash, love same day shipping, and I am overall very pleased with this.

For the price these are pretty good. No you are not going to get Bose sound. These are boss haha. Anyway i mounted these in place of the pile of junk pyramid speakers that came with my RV. The old speakers literally turned to dust! These 2 way boss speakers sound so much better! My speakers are mounted outside the RV and i don't know how long they will last against the elements. However for 17 bucks if I get a year or 2 i will be happy. If they die well ill spend another 17 bucks, I did crank em and they held up pretty good. Good deal for some rock and roll at the lake! Thanks Amazon for selling these.

Used these speakers to build a little cooler radio. Overall I would highly recommend this product. These are certainly not world beaters, but for the price you get good sound. They are lacking in the bass but I suspected that. They are 5" speakers after all. If you want monster bass get some subs, or at the very least some good 6x9's.

I used these to replace the jensen speakers that came on my 2015 coachmen catalina 323bhds, they are not an exact fit you will have to do some trimming. They are of way better quality than the jensen speakers that came with the trailer sound is very good, keep in mind these are great speakers for what you are paying for these are not designed for some high dollar high wattage sound system, but for stock rv sound systerms these are way better than factory.

I ordered these and they are much bigger than I thought they should be, about 6.5 inches across, but I managed. I test them first off with my aftermarket head unit that gives 50 watts per channel max and I could only turn it up half way, which was PLENTY loud, but still. A few weeks in and I started to hear some funky sounds coming from them whenever any bass hit them, and so I stopped and listened they sounded like they could not handle any bass whatsoever and also sounded completely blown when they tried, so I returned them and now I am going to take my business elsewhere and am not going to buy cheap ones this time...
They did however sound all right when the volume was turned down, so I guess for hot tubs and such they wouldn't be that bad, but if they have to be turned up to handle road noise in a loud vehicle or probably a boat, I would go for something different if I were to buy these again.
Your choice, I would nudge you to the higher quality ones if I were you, but you do what you do.

The speakers on the exterior of our travel trailer were very cheap and didn't last long. After some research I selected the Boss Marine speakers. They are true to size, which is important, and fit the holes in the RV perfectly. They sound very good for speakers of this size and price range.

We have used the speakers now for several months... they have withstood heat, rain, snow, and below zero temps.

Cons: I don't have any.
