for wet or chemical areas where a locking and or adjusting is needed, this is a great answer. the knurl allows for finger tightening or fine adjustments in a confined space. have been the answer for my products parts.very good product, and price is right.

I needed these for a modification to my RC airplane. They're perfect when used with the microplastics 1/2" nylon rod.

Pros:
Cheap
Well-manufactured (no burrs, no irregularities)
Slide on and off easily
take Krylon for plastic paint well
bond with Gorilla glue well

I have used these thumbnuts in the past and they are durable and work well. Unfortunately when I re-ordered, some bonehead sent the wrong ones! Now I'm faced with returning/exchanging and hoping the don't escalate the problem by sending the wrong ones again. In-competence drives me crazy and I just hate trying to fix someone else's screw ups!

I love nuts. Peanuts, walnuts, pistacio nuts and even these nylon thumb nuts. They're better than wing nuts but not as tasty as pecans. I love nuts.
