Memory foam cuff molds to ankle shape for a secure and comfortable customized fit. Channeled mesh lining keeps foot dry and comfortable by allowing air to circulate. External molded heel counter provides rear foot stability during active outdoor pursuits. Underfoot support and protection from a full length Timberland® Agile IQ stability plate made out of Pebax® elastomer and specifically tuned for hiking. Timberland® Agile IQ starburst provides a secure 'heel set' for superior control and responsiveness. Removable, tri-zoned, dual density, Timberland® Agile IQ footbed constructed with Dri-Lex® fabric and perfed EVA for greater breathability. Boot is flexible crampon compatible to enhance traction on ice and snow. Lightweight Schoeller® textile upper for durability and breathability. Exceptional - possibly the lightest weight hiking shoe. My feet do not tire at all. At the same time, feels rock solid so you are not losing anything in terms of support and proteciton.

Length is true to size as other timberland shoes, but the toe-box is a bit narrow, so if you have wide feet might be a squeeze.

I highly recommend it. All the high-tech features actually seem to work to create a great shoe.

Timberland was not helpful when the sole started to come unglued from my boot. I ended up reglueing the boot with goop which appears to be doing the trick. I noticed a review on another site with the same problem. I don't think I should have to buy fifteen dollars worth of glue which included 3M spray adhesive which did not work then I bought goop which appears to work. My wife's boots are one year older than my boots and are not falling apart.
