These locks work quite well and I have a couple of them. The neck on my newest trailer is a little smaller than my other trailers and I found the lock to be a little bit loose so I ended up welding in a little spacer to tighten things up. Now it is tight and works like a charm.

Between the brittle cast aluminium and locks that can be simply cut with bolt cutters I am not willing to trust my gooseneck trailer with $50,000 worth of equipment to something so easy to defeat. Bigger bolt cutters cut through the disc type locks like butter (see picture) not to mention the pad locks on the gate in order to get to the trailer. I am only going to use a lock in the future that is totally bolt cutter proof.
