The erasers fit my Zebra M-301 pencil just fine, but the eraser itself is made of a different material than the stock eraser. It is brittle and my first one snapped at the top after about a day or two of regular use.

These are terrible replacement erasers. The erasers that come with the pencil originally erase like a dream, these do not. They're very hard, way too long (they bend and threaten to break if too much force is applied) and leave awful ugly smudges where the "erased" text used to be. Avoid at all costs.

It fit my zebra mechanical pencil just fine but it just smeared and made my paper look worse when I attempted to use the eraser. I ended up throwing the rest of them out and bought one of those giant erasers. Save your money and get one of those.

These eraser refills are not available locally. So despite the negative reviews, I took a chance on them. They've been working just fine for me. No trouble with smearing, or mess, as reported by other reviews. They erase cleanly. I am not trying to discount the other reviews' experiences. Maybe, there was a bad batch of erasers circulating for a time? Also, it may depend upon what you are doing with the erasers. I just use these Zebra products to scratch out notes and thoughts. If your are planning to do drawings, draft a design, or something similar, I doubt these will work for you. These erasers are not like the softer, or putty, type eraser that artist or drafters use. Additionally, it seems doubtful that these eraser will perform well with the qualities of paper used in those types of work. If you just want erasers to fit your shiny steel Zebra mechanical pencil, that are practical, and doesn't cost to much, because you are scribbling notes on ordinary writing paper, these will do.

The only reason that I gave them 2 stars is because it was very hard to match the size eraser to the actual mechanical pencil based on the description. The Zebra erasers wear down very fast and need to either be replaced or thrown out. You can order them directly from Zebra, but for the $2.50 the vendor charged, Zebra charges 5 times that (of course you probably will get the correct ones), it's cheaper to buy a new pack of pencils. The vendor was very good about refunding my money without returning the eraser, though there was a lot of back and forth on emails with questions about what was wrong with them.

Eraser fits poorly and smudges rather than erases. For the life of me, I don't understand why they didn't package the original erasers that came with the pencil. The original eraser worked SO much better.

It took a while to receive the erasers and I'm glad to have them but the rubber is harder than the original one and seems to smear the pencil until you go over it several times.

All mechanical pencil erasers of which I have had experience are useful for a more or less brief period for erasing small mechanical pencil marks when away from home, where I very much prefer to use a vinyl or similar discrete, crumbless eraser. In time, I imagine that like all other mechanical pencil erasers I have known, they will dry out, harden and become useless for purposes other than smearing mechanical pencil marks and abrading or tearing the paper upon which they were made.

Epiphany! It shouldn't be all that difficult to carry a discrete vinyl eraser in a pocket. Possibly the last mechanical pencil erasers I shall buy.
