Huge Time Saver

For anyone that has done home wiring in the past and worked with wire nuts, you know how after about 15 plugs your hands begin to get sore from all the twisting of the wire nuts. We these you simply strip the wire back about 1/2" and press them into the wall nut. I highly recomend them in any # of conductors. Amazon had the best price for the 8 conductor being our local big box store didn't offer them.

Good Quality, No Complaints

We are doing a basement remodeling and we used this in the ceiling. With the new lights and new mandatory wired smoke detectors we had seven 12- or 14- gauge wires coming together, and nuts obviously weren't the solution.

This worked perfectly. Installation was easy and tight and it didn't take up much space.

**One thing to note is that it is really intended for use with solid wires and not braided wires/multi-strand. If you are going to use multi-strand we suggest that you tin the ends with solder. That's what we did and it worked fine, grabbing the wires securely and making the Building Inspector happy.

My husband commented that he really preferred this method of connection over nuts because you get a better sense that the connection has been made and that it's tight. He may never go back to wire nuts.

It works!

These little guys are great! The wire seats into the hole and after an extra firm push you hear a satisfying click. When pondering the purchase of these babies I wondered just exactly how they were "wired". The answer is that all 8 holes are connected together so you need three of these, one for hot, one for neutral, and one for ground. They are not offered in local hardware stores. Goodbye wire nuts!
