i an amateur when it comes to drumming, but even i can tell the difference of the sound quality of the drums when this thing is on the snare drum
its amazing, the chain ring is completely gone. and its just a solid beat.
i was kind of skeptical about paying 11 $ for 2 rings of plastic, but im glad i did.
like i said im an amateur, im pretty sure other people who actually know what they are doing, can tell you alot more than i can

If you need to kill the overtone this is a great tool to have. These days you can buy heads with the e-ring built into it with vents and whatnot. That's great if that's what you want. But, if you need to get different sounds out of your snare drum e.g. you may want overtone for one tune. But you don't want any for the next.....This is what you need. It's an elegant way of killing overtone. People use duct tape, wallets, napkins.....this is more elegant. It works great.

Two widths for more options of sound with the same snare drum. Controls overtones evenly; much better that moon gels, that could choke a bit the drum, and also will stain your heads if you use coated ones. Very good option por the price.
