I"ve had every kind of reacher/pick up tool available and this one is absolutely the best. Lifetime warranty will save you money in the long run, because the others like it just don't measure up and break quickly.
This pick up tool does everything it says it will do. It picks up everything from a 5lb. bag. of flour to a very small pill. I can even pick up my cat's water bown without spilling any water thanks to the easy locking of this tool.

Wanted the ArcMate DELUXE EZ Reacher to get the SAF-T-LOK locking feature. Already own the standard model which works great, but thought the locking feature would be a real upgrade.

Item Direct Care sent, however, was the standard model inside the cardboard sleeve for the DELUXE model. According to the sleeve, item should have had the SAF-T-LOK plus a DangEZ carrying strap -- but obviously it had neither because it was the standard model.

Emails to vendor via Amazon did nothing except that Direct Care reported to Amazon that situation had been resolved -- that it had been a technical issue. WRONG as I still have the wrong item with no word from Direct Care that anything more is to be done.

I eventually filed a claim with Amazon who reimbursed me via an Amazon gift card.

By the way, a similar event has been reported by another buyer for the same item (DELUXE EZ Reacher) ordered from Perfect Fit via Amazon.

Mine arrived two days after the order (fast!), arrived as ordered and I had no issues ordering from this seller. Please note that this version does not fold! I don't need mine to fold, I keep it handy on top of the fridge. I'm short, have arthritis in my fingers and have high cabinets. I can lift down or up and move cups, product boxes and cans easily using this type of tool. This version certainly seems sturdy and according to the write up does everything I need. Previously I bought 5 "Gopher" brand tools, from a local store, but they simply don't last and the store switched to a different type and design that's hard for me to use and doesn't work nearly as well. The cups on the Gopher were attached with metal screws but they screwed into plastic bits, on the cups, that always wore out, which rendered the tool useless. That's been very frustrating, as the rest of the tool stayed in great condition. So, I was looking for a sturdier model that would last much longer! As far as I can tell this model is it, the cups look to be attached better (they also offer cup replacements) as well as working very well. I just received the 32" Reach-Me and tried it out on a few items from a high cupboard-no issues. I love the upgrade to the more flexible silicone cups, which is new to me. Will update this review if the Reach-Me develops any issues. PS: I used to work in a store that had small packaged items that hung from high hooks. It was drag over a heavy metal ladder that took up a lot of room and took too long to open vs., buy and use one of these tools. I purchased it for my own use, but everyone who worked there learned to use it adeptly to unhook the items. It was a far better and quicker choice than the ladder, probably safer too! It surprises me that more stores don't use them!

I don't know how I got along without this before I bought it. I have an arthritic vertebrate and I simply cannot bend over to pick things up. I've used similar products in the past but they were cheap and didn't work well or broke easily. The "EZ Reacher Deluxe" however, has been perfect! I've had it quite a while now and I'm amazed at the small sizes of things that it can pick up with ease. I can retreive a dime dropped on the floor,and it's strong enough to pick up fairly heavy objects also. This was money well-spent.

I had one of the cheapie models from a discount store, and while I was better off with it than without it, the rubber tips came off quickly, allowing the screws to fall out, and it was irreparably broken. This EZ Reacher Deluxe is much sturdier and the tips are larger and more robust. The principle is the same, but this product is far superior! And the guarantee cannot be beat!

This baby works great for me. I'm 72, with a bad back. Repeatedly bending over to pick up stuff causes me a lot of discomfort. To clean up my yard before mowing every week, I need to pick up 40 - 80 sticks, pine cones, etc., which used to kill me. With the EZ Reacher, I can pick up stuff as easily as I could with my hands -- but with no bending. I've used it to pick up about 300 items so far, and I don't find any downside. It is sturdy, well made, and very reasonably priced.

My local supply store for handicap materials stopped carrying this model, took on a cheaper model from the same manufacturer, which incidentally was unsatisfactory. This tool simply works. It is handy, and will handle fairly heavy objects, which others of a similar look like this simply will not do. The cheap folding versions of this tool are simply wasted money. Luckily by searching was able to find this on Amazon, and ordered it and I'm extremely happy that I found it.
