I bought this folder to avoid having two thinner folders in order to hold all of my boss's emergency cards. This folder would have been great if it had a tab at the top as well as the bottom to keep the tension from top to bottom. The problem with not having a tab at the top is there is no tension to keep the binder ring from opening . Hence the papers slip through the top ring as you are flipping through pages and it's just one big hassle to deal with when you're trying to keep things organized and you end up with a different kind of mess.

At $3.88, this was the lowest cost binder I could find on Amazon (at 2inches, with D-rings).

Ring construction seems pretty solid for the price.

Its probably not sturdy enough to carry around in a backpack every day. If you just need it to hold papers and live on a shelf most of its life, I think it will be fine.

It has 3 nice pockets on the inside front and back cover. I thought this was a pleasant and unexpected detail.

Edit - I just came back to buy more binders. looks like the price jumped from $3.88 to about $10. $4 or $5 is about right for the construction. At $10, I'm going to look for something else.

When I got this binder, I noticed the covering was "plastic" and rigid, not rubbery and giving, so I figured that's why -- right out of the box -- the binder had cracked in a 1-inch spot on the underneath edge seam. I shrugged, not willing to write this binder off yet. But now, after only a couple of uses, I'm noticing another spot that's also cracked. The material does not flex, so it cracks easily. If it wasn't for the poor quality of the covering, I would rate this 5 stars based on the "one touch" mechanism of the metal rings and its quality. Disappointed that more care wasn't taken to give this "heavy-duty" binder true durability.

I bought this binder to organize some of my teaching materials, and it's nice and heavy. I also love the EZD binder system since it keeps the papers at the back of the binder from getting squished.

In case it's not clear from the photo, there is no clear pocket insert on the cover, so you can't slide a piece of paper into the front.

Works well for the cost!

After using just about every binder out there, I finally found this one. Look for the single black tab/opener on the bottom of the photos.
They open so easily, pages turn smoothly and you can find any size you need in this style.

These binders are great for rough handling, sitting around for months, and then more rough handling - the rings stay shut and papers do not slip out - they've been dropped and stepped on and tossed around numerous times - you can't go wrong with these, the only binders I'll ever buy.

I ordered two black binders, and when they arrived, each one of them had multiple air pocket or bubble under the "skin" of the binder both on the fronts and the backs. The functionality is fine, but I'm disappointed in these binders as they were supposed to be used in performances. With the bubbles and resulting wrinkles, these binders look unprofessional. Otherwise, they seem solid and functional.

This binder was purchased for my 12 year old son who is extremely hard on binders, folders, backpacks, etc. This binder made it halfway through the school year before it needed to be replaced. While that may not sound long to many people, it actually wasn't bad for him as some have fallen apart within a month. Overall, this is a decent binder, but did give 4 stars because the rings inside seemed to be the first thing to go and could have been a little sturdier to begin with. I would recommend this product.
