After my carpal tunnel became no longer ignorable, I made some major changes to my work space, one being the purchase of this keyboard. I love that I can split it in the center and raise either end. It works well with my Apple iBook and I was delighted to find I could use it with my HP Pavillion laptop as well.

Only 4 stars because if I bump it, the arch in the center can flatten somewhat despite being locked. I find I have to reposition it every once in a while.

Overall very pleased.

I received a GoldTouch keyboard in 2005 that was solid, sturdy and well-built. I absolutely loved it. But I just bought this new Mac-compatible version and the quality of materials has really gone down. I can see that the pin holding the adjusting bar can break from the snapping motion required to position the keyboard. I am afraid to adjust it often. I recommend this keyboard if you have pain to resolve, but otherwise, the keyboard is overpriced considering it may have to be replaced in less than a year due to the cheaper materials.

I've used split keyboards before and wanted to go back since my wrists started to hurt again recently so I ordered one of these. If you are typing on this rather cheaply made keyboard, then you are fine but if you are like me and need to use modifier keys with graphics programs, then you'll hate this keyboard. They have mysteriously taken the control off of the left side and stuck a Help key in between it and option. Then they stuck a Power key above that with a numlock key kitty corner from it as well. It makes using the control key almost impossible as its like using your finger to navigate a mine field of uncommon keys that will invariably interrupt you (a power down notice, your letters typing numbers or a help window opening). And to further add to the mess, the command key is way off to the left so you will spend a while mashing command shift, thinking it's command-z or strain to reach over your thumb to hit command-t. Clearly not designed by someone who has used a Mac. Terrible - sending it back.
