Perhaps the best upgrade I have made to my bike. Very simple to install. All you need is a 22mm socket, 1 1/2 pipe cutter, tape measure, and a coat hanger. Whole job takes about 20 mins. Not difficult at all.

I purchased a brand new KLR650 and put about 1,000 miles on it. 50/50 Street / dirt. Bottomed out the soft stock springs over a dozen times. Replaced them with these Progressive springs; WOW!!! WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

No more nose diving under braking conditions. Sooo much easier to get the front wheel up and over large rocks, stumps, and chuck holes. The handling of the bike has went from soft and spongy to firm and stable. Sand traps and loose gravel are so much easier to maneuver through due to the firmness of the new springs.

I also changed the rear spring after installing these. The results are unbelievable. This 350 lb pig has a new spirit. It handles like a much lighter bike than it actually is. My KLR has become a nimble and certainly a more capable off road machine.

Used these on a 2009 KLR 650 and they work well. Installation is a snap, instructions are pretty good. This is the second pair of Progressive brand fork springs I've used on one of my bikes and have not been disappointed. Amazon had the lowest price at the time I bought these.

No more nose dive during braking or shifting. But the best improvement is I can now ride the pegs on trails without feeling like I'm going over the bars. Very easy to install, my bike is new enough that I did not have to change the fork oil at this time. Money well spent for the huge improvement.

I put these on my 2008 KLR650. With the stock springs the bike felt wallowing and bounced around like a basket ball. I could not believe how much the front fork springs helped the bike. It is like a different bike now, both on and off the road. The bike feels much lighter and way more responsive. The only bad thing is now you will notice how bad the rear shock is. I replaced mine with a Progressive rear shock as well and now the bike feels really good. The front forks made the biggest difference, I would say about a 70 % improvement but the addition of the rear shock made the other 30% which comes out to a 100% improved ride and handling. The off road riding is the biggest difference but the ability of the bike in corners on pavement is also very noticeable. Ride safer and with more confidence, go progressive and you will be impressed.

This was a major upgrade to the klr. My buddy has an identical bike to mine, so I got to ride them back to back, and it made a big difference.
By the way, I don't think the directions for cutting the spacer tubes are correct. There's a Russian sounding guy on YouTube that gives a nice tutorial. If memory serves, 3.5" does the trick.

These springs are easy to install. They are better than stock. My only gripe is that they are not stiff enough. My front front end still dives too muck when braking. I plan to install a longer spacer to see if that helps.
