    You know, I purchased a pair of Adidas GTX hiking boots and figured, because of the GTX lining, my feet would stay dry no matter the conditions. Boy, was I wrong. Went camping with some buddies and for the four days we we're out, it rained for two. Within 30 minutes of being in said rain, my feet we're soaked completely through. Not impressed. Contacted Amazon and they accepted the return without fuss. Impressive!!!! One of my buddies, said he had a similar issue with a pair of Vasque Wasatch Boots and was advised to purchase a pair of waterproof hunting boots, which he did. The Irish Setter Men's Wingshooter Ultra dry....These are the same boots he was wearing during our camping trip...His feet were dry. So, I purchased a pair, which sport the dark sole. Out of the box, they felt amazing.....I wear a true 12, but my feet are flat as a board and wide as well. The boots fit perfect... My suggestion, if your looking for a pair of Ultra dry waterproof boots, I'd go with a pair of established hunting boots...as opposed to a pair of hiking boots...unless your going to hike, then I'd go with a pair Asolo....hiking boots....But for some strange reason, hunting boots are tons cheaper than hiking boots. Even the most expensive pair of hunting boots are cheaper than some higher end hiking boots. Oh well, hope this review helped..

    These boots were comfy right out of the box! They are definitely waterproof. I submitted my Amazon order on a Sunday night and the boots were at my door on Wednesday,...all the way to Canada none the less. I found the size to be very accurate also. I wear a 9.5 normally and it fit in these boots.

    Immediately comfortable, right out of the box. Stout and well-made, good quality leather and traction. I could toss half the boots in my closet out, and just wear Irish Setters for the rest of my life.

    I've been wearing these boots for the past 7 years. When they were made in the US they were the super comfortable and very sturdy. But since they started making them in China they're still comfortable but they fall apart a lot faster. I've gone through the Chinese boots twice as fast as I used to go through the American made ones.

    But they're still great boots for concrete finishers.

    The boot fits fine. I feel that the made in USA finish is much, much, better! I don't like how they look, they look cheap! I want a boot that not only fits fine but looks excellent. This is my only complain, this is why I gave it 2 stars .
    Plus one wear and the soles are already coming off. It's shameful for all the money I paid

    these boots make my feet say ahhhhhh. Theses are truly well made boots and yes they keep the water out. I have trusted these boots well over a hand full of years. And you get what you pay for. I weigh in at about 330, my weight alone is hard abuse on the boots already. Plus jumping in and out of trucks and tredging through snow and slush. These will be my boots i put on my feet until they stop making them. not five stars. ..11 srars......

    Went to a Red Wing Store to try these on. I was going to buy them but there was a problem with the boots "clicking" when I walked. After further investigation, the sole of the boot by the arch wasn't glued/attached. I pushed my thumb on the area and recreated the "click". Decided to order a pair from Amazon. The first pair the left boot did the same thing. Returned them and third time is a charm!!! I'm so excited to wear these boots. They absolutely fit like a glove.

    Get a pair... You deserve it...

    We went to the Red Wing store and saw these boots. My son was working construction for the summer and need a good pair. I wasn't trilled about spend over $200 at the store but was willing to. Before we bought them we decided to check Amazon....and there they were for $70 less!! Amazing! They are the exact same boots and he has been wearing them all summer. No break in period required! Super comfortable and very well made!
