These boots are great I used to get sore ankles and feet while walking up and down hills hunting wearing 'work' style boots but wearing these boots made a huge difference. The boots are very light and comfortable.I also stood in a river for about 10 minutes and didn't get a drop of water in the boot. These boots are great value and I would highly recommend them.

Wish I had read some of these reviews before I purchased these boots, however knowing I have finicky feet I spent time walking around in the store and soon realized that I needed at least one size larger then my regular size. I bought size 11 E2 instead of 10s which seemed very comfortable walking around in the store for 15 minutes but after about an hour in the field the baby toe on my left foot got quite sore. Four days and at least 20 miles later in very rough terrain and they did feel a bit better; good thing as there is no return at wholesale sports once you wear them outside. Very warm boot down to +5. F that is for sure as I am 52 years young and have not a warmer boot for its weight. I also walked through 3 inches of freezing water and did not get a drop in the boot. All in all I am very pleased but hoping the next walk will feel better on my left foot

I normally wear a 12 D, I am glad I went to red wing store to try on a pair of them first and discovered I needed a 12 EE because of the insulation. I saved over 60 dollars by purchasing through amazon. They are a very comfortable boot. I have yet to check out the waterproof ability of the boots but that will happen before I go hunting.

Nice boot would have loved to have been able to have found a pair that fit. I normally wear an 11m and went to a 12 and boot was still way to tight across top of foot. I tried two different pairs. 11.5. And 12.

Bought these for hunting but bought them more then a half a year in advance. Tried them on when I first got em and they seemed good. Much larger and heavier then my cheap little Itasca. Put them on a few times to get a feel for them before heading out into the bush for hunting season. Fast forward to the end of the first day of hunting season. My ankles were killing me and I sat in a blind most of the day. The clear plastic piece thats glued to the side of the outside of the boot prevents the boot mater from folding out away from your ankle as you walk. Instead it folds in and presses painfully against your ankle. I will actually have to modify / create a fix for this in order to wear them next year. Thank God the weather was decent and I was able to wear my 40.00 crap boots to get me through the season. I contacted the company 3 times about the issue and the problem I had with their boots, not one single reply. I will make these boots work cause they cost to damn much not to but I will never buy from them again. All over their facebook page they ask for people to praise theib boots. But ignore those that complain... As expensive as these boots are, I coulda bought 10 years worth of crap boots and been ahead after just the first year. And so for 800 grain of insulation? Where? There isnt a stitch of padding anywhere on this boot.

These boots are comfortable and warm on cold mornings in the woods. The mossy oak pattern is a little disappointing. One boot has a big brown leaf on top of the foot and the other boot looks like grey/green tree bark with no brown coloring causing the boots to look a little odd.

Best hunting boots I have ever had. I had my 1st pair for 8 years before I had to replace them with this new pair. Once these are broken in they are the most comfortable pair of hunting boots I have ever owned. I normally wear them with a liner sock and one pair of think wool socks and my feet stay warm in tree stands all day with temps into the mid 20s. One trick I have learned is to not tie them tight. In fact I tend to leave fairly lose. This seems to impact blood circulation and my feet stay warmer without sweating.

Wanted to like these, as I was excited by all the positive reviews.
Regarding size complaints, I got one full size larger, as many here suggested, but should have gotten only half size larger.
The width - definitely EE, go one or two widths higher than normal.

    My gripes:

    1) Size is not that reliable.
    2) Insulation is thinner than I expected.
    3) They feel like wooden clogs on my feet.
    4) Even with extra width and no laces in, it is really hard to put the foot in. There is something wrong with the area where the top horizontal part of the boot meets the vertical ankle part.
    5) the sole is hard in terms of cushioning - I can't imagine running in these.

This is my FIRST pair of boots of this style, so I do not know if the following is expected: the sole of the boot almost does not freaking bend. I have no idea how it is possible to comfortably walk in shoes/boots that are so hard. I bought these as winter time outdoor trekking boots. I hope the comfort level will be ok, have not used them yet.

I wish I went to a store and tried them on, to get proper size and to make sure the comfort level was ok for me.

Otherwise, great looking and well constructed boots. And they are "assembled in USA with imported components".
